Our latest AA Notable Wine List arrived today. Great to see our list recognised. Of course, we wouldn't have the award if our chefs did not produce rosette quality food.
It is our Birthday today. We have turned into a teenager! Any suggestions from all the parents out there as to how this may change us?
Predator Zinfandel is back. Our monster munch wine must be tasted to be believed.
We were in for lunch and the food was amazing, prices were very reasonable and staff were warm, welcoming and helpful. It was a bit of a random find but very happy we found it. We will be back �
We had the early set menu for £12 for 2 courses and paid a suppliment for the steak. It was worth it. Fantastic steak, served rare just as we'd asked. Lovely chips and my dessert was gorgeous. Try the flights of wine, lovely wine and excellent value. We'll definitely be back
We had the 3 course Sunday lunch with prosecco, from the Itison Deal website.. The food was really lovely. The portions are just the right size, meaning that we finished every course.
Was in last night for my girlfriend's birthday. First time we have been and cannot fault the food. Great value great service. We will definitely be back soon and be telling family and friends to try it out also.
Lovely wee place hidden behind Rose Street, great service, great food and wine and very reasonable, will return.
Laid back but fabulous wine tasting followed up by an extremely tasty meal. Staff were also really friendly and helpful even when it took us so long to choose our wine!
Just home from our wine tasting, and delicious 3course dinner. Great wine and delicious food and very attentive staff. Highly recommended.

Good food, friendly service and GREAT wine! Sweet potato chips were amazing, the venison and lamb were cooked well and really tasty and the desserts were yum! This was our second visor and we already have plans to go back!
Fantastic wine tasting on Friday night, it was so relaxed and great fun, even though I couldn't guess the most expensive one correctly. This was followed by an excellent meal downstairs with fantastic, friendly service and amazing food! Cant wait to go back!!

Consistently fantastic, warm and relaxed. The food is delicious and the wine... well the wine list is the only one I've ever raved about.
Been there twice now, 2nd time yesterday, and enjoyed both visits immensely. Both food and service were outstanding. Great value for money for 3 courses and the best Rose wine I've tasted in a long time - great at £15 a bottle. It's just off Rose Street so if you didn't know about the place you wouldn't know it's there. Definitely worth a visit.
Been a few times and have never had a bad meal. Menu always changing and never disappointed. Service first class , food delicious and atmosphere very relaxed and friendly. A great place to go with family and friends. X

An amazing restaurant - went there for my birthday with a party of 14 people. Excellent service, delicious food and wine at a very good price, will definitely be going back and would highly recommend it to anyone !!

After the most laid back wine tasting upstairs, we moved to the downstairs restaurant and ate dinner. Now deep in Calistoga country we discover Ravenswood Zinfandel "no wimpy wines" and move into another gear.....best grown up food and wine adventure in Edinburgh. Can't wait till we go back, Santa?!
