Callater Lodge

Absolutely lovely B&B with friendly, enthusiastic hosts in a stunning location in the Highlands! Lodge is clean, wonderfully decorated and very comfortable; breakfast was outstanding! Be sure to enjoy a whisky tasting! We will be back for a longer stay!

Me and my girlfriend stayed there for a night on our tour through Scotland. Julian and Katy are such kind hosts, Katy gave us a tip to climb on the hill behind the house for a view over braemar, which was amazing. Rooms are very clean and lovely. Breakfast was delicious (you can choose the day before between different variations plus toast, cereals, yogurt and some more). You can feel they have found their passion. Would definitely recommend callater lodge if you stay in braemar.

Best B&B we have visited in our 3 week trip to Scotland. We were greeted by a very friendly host, who offered us tea on our arrival. She showed us to our lovely room, with queen sized bed and bathroom with modern fixtures and heated towel racks. The hospitality tray had cake slices instead of the typical cookies, well equipped with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and long life milk packets. There was ample place to store clothes, dresser, 2 night tables with click radio, and armoire. Great breakfast with cooked or continental options and juice, cereals, fruit, and yogurt containers set out for the taking. Bed was stiff, pillows nice and soft, either down or feather. Had great conversations with husband and wife hosts. This is the place to stay in Braemar.

Immaculate, top quality B and B. Room spacious and well furnished with some nice touches. Hosts friendly without being intrusive. Guests are free to enjoy the garden, extra special visitor, a red squirrel. Would highly recommend Calleter Lodge.
