Delighted to be handing over the new lift to Tay Road Bridge Joint Board today. Handover was successfully completed and the lift was left in public service. The project involved replacing a twin ram hydraulic lift with a modern equivalent, 1500kg load capacity/19 person, through car, fitted to existing structure with full architrave replacement. Lift now has the added feature of remote monitoring which has allowed us to be running the lift with full load completing test runs through the night while remotely monitoring performance. The quality of the installation is seriously second to none and all credit goes to Scott and David - really fantastic job from start to finish, when your installation team put so much care and effort into their work it is instantly noticeable when you inspect/test and subsequently handover the lift.

We are pleased to introduce the latest addition to our stairlift portfolio - the Platinum Ultimate curved stairlift. Unique to the market: the Ultimates main feature is it's First Step Smart Start. It’s a simple, tidy, and reliable solution to avoid an intrusive rail or a costly hinge at the foot of the stairs. This, combined with the adjustable arms, backrest and footrest with inter changeable arm controls creates an Ultimate experience which no other stairlift on the market can match. If you'd like more information on the Ultimate or any of our other products then please contact us on 01382 462810.

Nice handover of this hydraulic platform lift we installed at St. Andrews Parish Church in Dundee where they had an official opening ceremony (including ribbon being cut!) after their Sunday service! Earlier this year the committee had asked us to act as principal contractor so we brought in various trades to complete quite a major overhaul of the area to install a lift which included moving concrete steps, creating new entrances, moving walls, installing new beams, raising the skylight and various other ancillary works.... not to forget the whole reason for the works - installing the 3 stop, 4 landing door platform lift in structure with automatic doors. Client was delighted with finished product and sent us this lovely letter.

So we attended yesterday, for the first time, the Scottish Building Contract Committee Annual Conference held in the beautiful Merchants House of Glasgow. It really was a fantastic event with some excellent presentations by the likes of Professor Cole and Professor Klein along with other extremely knowledgeable construction industry experts giving their views on the good, the bad and the ugly effecting the Scottish construction industry. There was real synergy in the room gi...ven the cross industry bodies there. There were many take home messages about poor payment practice in the industry, procurement focus on cost not quality, contractual disputes, design responsibilities - fees being slashed in this extremely important area, retentions and the fact construction really is the only industry that seem to still insist on them, project bank accounts to reduce the domino effect Carillion caused in the supply chain. These were just a few... but certainly Professor John Coles presentation on the Edinburgh School Inquiry was perhaps the most sobering!! And as he simply put... lack of responsibility on the quality aspect.

Celebrating our 40th anniversary this month and thought no better way than to gift one of our vans permanently to our friends Dundee Foodbank. Thanks to The Scotsman for coverage and to Murdo @ MMautoservice for providing all future servicing and MOT free of charge on the van, which we know the team at the Foodbank are very thankful about! https://www.scotsman.com/…/caltech-lift s-marks-birthday-wit…

All set up for the Independent Living Seminar at the SMART Centre which will assist Occupational Therapists in assessing users for stairlifts and what to consider when opting for a stairlift.

Exciting to handover this recent installation of a 4 stop, 630kg gearless traction passenger lift from one of our German manufacturers in a £111M cutting edge waste plant facility in Lanark. https://www.letsrecycle.com/…/scotland- set-for-first-of-ki…/

Really nice little 4 stop hydraulic platform lift with telescopic sliding doors finished and handed over to a very happy client today. Note the hinged landing doors in front of the lift at each level so the client can effectively 'hide' the lift in his newly renovated beautiful 20th century home. And check out those views over the silvery Tay....

Very interesting seminar tonight on payments and retention with guest speaker Prof Rudi Klein who is a construction law expert within the UK. Thanks to MacRoberts LLP for hosting presentation in their impressive York Street building in Glasgow. Was feeling a bit Harvey Specter like from the top floor ;) #niceliftstoo

Excited to be starting a new project yesterday for the Tay Road Bridge Joint Board in the complete replacement of their passenger lift which transports pedestrians from the ground level up to bridge level. Some cracking views for our team to enjoy during the construction programme!
