Calum Riddell

You have probably already guessed it but my name is Calum, I am a 28 year old Aberdeen Wedding Photographer from Scotland. My path into wedding photography started around 12 years ago when I first picked up a camera to capture my friends taking part in different extreme sports. I quickly realised I quite like this! One thing lead to another and by 2010 I had gained my Bachelor of Arts in Commercial Photography at Robert Gordon University. During my time studying I photographed my very first wedding and haven't stopped since. In 2011 I opened my first portrait studio in Aberdeen and by 2012 I expanded and moved into a bigger studio on Union Terrace. During my time at the studios I met and photographed hundreds of different families, documenting a number of them as the families grew and expanded, something I feel very fortunate to have been part of. After a while I decided I wanted to focus on my main passion, wedding photography, I closed the doors of my studio and now my business is ran from the comfort of my own home. A little bit about me away from the camera…I am actually in the same boat as you all reading this, I am getting married in October 2018. I am an avid cyclist be it on the road or rumbling down the side of a hill, having said that I equally enjoy cosy nights getting stuck into a Netflix documentary with a nice gin. My little girl is my absolute world and she is a total daddy's girl (in my opinion! ). I love spending time with my little family and it must be said we are pretty big Disney fans (our holidays for the last 3 years have been spent there! ). Last and by no means I have to mention the 2 other members of our family our cats, we have 2 adorable furry rogues who we love to death.
