Today we start the 2017-2018 UK Implantology Year Course with the opening module at the beautiful Moller Centre, Churchill College, University of Cambridge. We are delighted to be welcoming dentists from all four corners of the UK.

News Alert - The GDC are continuing to charge implant dentists for failing to take a pre-operative CBCT scan. At an upcoming hearing on 15th May 2017 a dentist is being charged as follows, '1diii - There was no three dimensional analysis of the upper right sextant by CBCT (Cone Beam Computer Tomogram)'
As this is the latest in a series of similar charges it is becoming clear that the GDC are expecting CBCT scans as part of the pre-operative assessment in dental implantology.

Module 9 of the UK Implantology Year Course is this Friday, 10th February 2017 at the Moller Centre, Churchill College, University of Cambridge. We will be spending much of the day covering the science and techniques behind bone augmentation and socket preservation with materials such as BioOss.
