Want to vote in the CUSU elections but still undecided on how to vote? Then we have the event for you! Come along to the CUSU/GU Lounge this Saturday to chat to CUSU officers about elections, find out more about the candidates (and meet some of them, too!), VOTE, and grab some free pizza!
This will be a super relaxed and fun event to help you decide how to vote and to give you a chance to engage more with CUSU. Come along for both the democracy and the free pizza and have y...our say about the future of CUSU and NUS.

Accessibility info: The lounge is wheelchair accessible via a lift. There is lots of seating, including comfy sofas and more basic chairs. There are scentless gender-neutral toilets including an accessible toilet and no automatic hand dryers. There is a hearing loop available - please let us know when you arrive if you'd like this switched on. Unfortunately, the lounge will have a fair amount of background noise. What was scaring the Sabbs this Halloween 🎃👻?! Everything from the under-funding of mental health services to college rent prices...oh & not being given the correct electoral roll for the Michaelmas Elections! Thankfully, that has been corrected, and voting will open in ONE HOUR at 4 pm 👉 vote.cusu.cam.ac.uk

ELECTIONS UPDATE: The CUSU Elections Committee would like to announce that voting for the CUSU Michaelmas Elections for NUS Delegates and Part-Time Executive will recommence at 4 pm today, closing at 11 pm Sunday.
The reason for the pausing of voting was that inaccuracies were discovered in the electoral roll provided to CUSU by the University, thus the delay caused has been due to the time taken for us to receive an accurate electoral roll from the University.
All the votes that had already been cast in this election prior to the pausing of voting have been collated and stored safely and will be combined with the votes from the new voting window when results are announced.

UPDATE ON THE SUSPENSION OF VOTING
Elections Committee have been liaising with the University to gather the data necessary to recommence voting. We anticipate receiving the necessary electoral roll data in time to restart voting by early afternoon tomorrow (Thursday). If we are unable to obtain this data we have contingency plans in place. The voting period will be extended to reflect the time lost during the suspension of voting. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

The elections run by the CUSU/GU Elections Committee rely on the provision of lists of current students by central University administration, which then form the electoral rolls.
Today a problem was identified with the electoral roll for the CUSU PTE and NUS Delegate Michaelmas elections: an error in the loading of the voter roll led to the platform reverting back to a previous voter list, resulting in the omission of first year students from the roll.
On attempting to rect...ify the situation, we found that the updated student list provided to us by the University is in fact inaccurate and omits a large number of current students, and we have therefore decided to pause voting until the University can provide us with an accurate list which will allow all current students to vote.
Once we have this list we will open a new ballot, excluding all those who have already cast their votes, and combine the votes of both ballots. All ballots cast so far in the election have been recorded correctly and securely.
We regret the inconvenience caused by this issue and hope to be able to reopen voting tomorrow; we expect that the voting period will be extended accordingly with the length of time necessary to obtain an accurate list of current students from the University.
