Cambridge Summer Music

About Cambridge Summer Music

Cambridge Summer Music exists to promote live classical music performance of the highest calibre in Cambridge and the surrounding villages.

Cambridge Summer Music Description

Cambridge Summer Music promotes a year-round programme of music of which the largest event is the Cambridge Summer Music Festival.

Each summer CSMF presents up to 40 events in and around the city, using the University’s many historic chapels and museums and the town’s churches and halls.

But CSM is more than its Festival. We also present:

• Music for Kids – hands-on musical experience for the young

• Spring Concerts – superb recitals in the inspiring setting of some of the lesser-known architectural wonders of the city. These concerts, run during April and May, give us the opportunity to provide a platform for talented young musicians.

• Music in Quiet Places – Four concerts each in spring and autumn; this series is especially valuable in enabling us to reach out to rural communities.
