Cambridge University Eco Racing Description

Cambridge University Eco Racing (CUER) designs and builds solar-powered cars to compete in the World Solar Challenge in Australia. Our racing cars showcase cutting-edge sustainable engineering and demonstrate the incredible potential of electric vehicle technologies and student projects.

CUER relies on the generosity of our sponsors and supporters in order to be competitive. To donate to the project and become a Friend of CUER, visit www. cuer. co. uk /donate

In 2007 /08 the team built a prototype car, 'Affinity', which toured Britain in June 2008.
In 2009 the team developed a new racing car, called Endeavour to compete in the World Solar Challenge 2009, achieving 1616km on solar across Australia.
In 2011, the team modified and raced Endeavour again in the World Solar Challenge, achieving 1487km on solar.

In 2013, the team pioneered the Resolution Concept, details of which are available at www. cuer. co. uk /technology but were unfortunately unable to compete in WSC 2013.

Developing this concept into the latest vehicle, Evolution, the team re-thought its internal structure and worked with many partners to ensure the best build quality yet. This was proven when Evolution drove 2047km on solar across Australia at WSC 2015 and became the most successful UK entrant since 2007.
