Cambridge University Linguistic Society

Cambridge University Linguistic Society (CU LingSoc) brings together members of the university who are interested in the field of linguistics, and language in general.

CU LingSoc organises valuable academic and social events where members can meet each other, discuss ideas, and network with professionals in the discipline. Our goal is to create an inclusive community that enriches the student experience by providing opportunities for language enthusiasts to explore their interests in a friendly and informal manner. To this aim we organise talks and lectures (three times a term on average), attracting speakers from a variety of departments and institutions both inside and outside Cambridge. And to provide our members with useful respite from libraries and study, we make sure to fill our social calendar with pub events, get-togethers, and other opportunities to meet and socialise.
