About Cambridge University Press Elt

Experience Better Learning with Cambridge, through thousands of insights, ideas and resources for language teachers.

Cambridge University Press Elt Description

The Cambridge story began in 1534 when Henry VIII granted us letters patent, allowing the Press to print ‘all manner of books. ’ We published our first book in 1584, making us the oldest publishing house in the world.

In the 1970’s, the English Language Teaching publishing stream was created and is now one of the world’s leading publishers in the industry. Our products are used by people in nearly every country across the world to teach and learn the English language and measure students’ progress.

Today, we are driven by our promise to create better learning experiences for all, together. We achieve this through deeper insights, which shape richer content and drives stronger results.
