About Cambridgeshire Deaf Association

We’re here for local deaf people of all ages and their families to get the most out of life.

Cambridgeshire Deaf Association Description

We put deaf people first in everything we do. We provide support, advocacy, social opportunities, care (with our partners) and a range of other innovative services like sign language classes, media, sports, deaf awareness training and campaigning. We operate every day of the week and every week of the year improving the wellbeing of deaf people.

Every other month, a BSL lounge is run in Cambridge for deaf and hearing people to attend: https://cambsdeaf.org/community /deaf-pubs /cambridge-bsl-lounge /

Is a necessary and need for our society . As a parent of deaf child I feel cared and supported, since am asked to participate . Well done go ahead and make a different .

User

I took the Sign Language Basics Course with my sister and it exceeded my expectations! Alongside learning practical skills such as finger signing and basic conversation there was a comprehensive introduction to BSL which helped put into context what we were learning. I left the course feeling inspired and eager to learn more. Couldn't recommend highly enough, thank you!

User

I attended the Basic Sign Language session today and really enjoyed it. There were only four us today so very informal and the tutor was excellent. He made the session fun, interesting and very informative. Would definitely recommend this course.

User

Can highly recommend the Sign Language basics course. Great insight in to deaf awareness, alongside a very well organised educational tutorial for BSL beginners.

User

At this moment I'm going my BSL level 1 at CRC, the CDA has a good source of information and can those who want to learn about the deaf world. It has lot of event place here to chat and keep up on your signing level with your BSL, I've given full stars to the CDA for this as I've looked into it's a top wedsite.
