**DRUG ALERT PETERBOROUGH** There appears to be a bad batch of heroin in Peterborough giving users unexpected effects and causing overdose. Please be alert and call 999 if you are worried about yourself or a friend

**DRUG ALERT** Colleagues in Suffolk have alerted us to heroin that has been mixed with fentanyl or carfentanyl, both unusually potent synthetic opioids, being added by dealers.
Even very small amounts of these highly potent synthetic opioids can cause severe or even fatal toxicity.
Please be alert to the increased possibility of overdose arising from heroin cut with these synthetic opioids, be able to recognise possible symptoms of overdose and respond appropriately. Call 999 if you experience any unusual symptoms and look out for your friends.

DRUG ALERT: Suffolk Police have had at least five reports of adverse reactions from injecting heroin in Suffolk and these incidents appear to be linked.
Users report that the effects from smoking appear to be normal, but when injected the situation rapidly develops to unconsciousness requiring ambulance attendance, CPR and hospital admission in some cases.
Suffolk Constabulary is actively seeking information on the source of this particular batch of heroin and would urge users to smoke rather than inject.

This 'Krokodil' certainly doesn't rock!
Krokodil is the street name for a substance made from, amongst other things, lighter fuel, iodine and red phosphorus
• It is often impure and contaminated with toxic and corrosive products... • skin creases where injected – hence the name Krokodil (crocodile) • It makes a person extremely violent and agitated • It takes at least 3 hours before any legal medication will work to counter its effects • it can cause limbs to fall off and users can expect a one year life expectancy.
We have some very nasty photos we could show you but we'd probably get shut down by FB so just trust us, this is one you definitely need to avoid.
