Lovely hotel we have stayed at several times now. On this occasion for fireworks night and the display was brilliant. Bar service not as good as usual, very slow for table service, although it was busy.
Prestene place for up market enjoyment. This is plush. A must visit once type of destination.
Superb service. Great rooms. Great food. Amazing scenery. Fantastic for a wedding, a weekend break, romatic get away or just to go and relax for the day. Highly recomended.
The best hotel experience of last two weeks. Rooms furnished with utmost of comfort and convenience in mind. You have superb staff. Hang on to them. Good people are difficult to come by. We are difficilt vegetarians, do not eat meat, fish or eggs. Your Room Service rep Mr Connor was very helpful in taking care of our special almost unique needs. Will recommend Cameron House to anyone visiting Glasgow and wanting to have a decent, quality place to stay in picturesque environment. Dilip Shah, Room 112.
Upon arriving, we were told that "the computer system was down" and we could not be given a room. We had to wait over 45 minutes and then were finally shown to a room. The room was not what we had booked. We prepaid for a Loch view room and were given a room overlooking the parking lot. When we brought this to the attention of the desk, we were told that no rooms were available. We were not given what we paid for and decided to leave after one night because of the poor customer service. I would not recommend this hotel at all. Apparently this is a very common problem here.
The hotel and area are beautiful. I had a great view of the loch from my room. The restaurant service at the hotel is extremely poor. We tried three different restaurants in the hotel on various days...All the same poor service. Our waiter or waitress would disappear for long periods of time. We would order and then 25 minutes later they would come back and say they were out of that main course. They would give you a wine list, make a selection and then tell you the wine list isnt updated and they don't have it. We ordered the tea service and it never came; the waiter somehow forgot within the five seconds of leaving us to enter it in the computer. Our last dinner we waited 25 minutes asking for our waitress to get our check and it was a very slow evening.
Outstanding quality and service. Highly recommended to people of all ages. Can be pricey, but you pay for quality!!
Obviously you pay for it - but it is a fantastic hotel. Incredibly friendly and helpful task, everything is smart and luxurious but not stuffy and over formal. We ate in the Cameron Grill - food was incredible.
What an amazing hotel this is. The hotel is spotless and rooms are lovely. The food when we were there was simply fantastic and all the staff couldn't do enough for us. A big thank you to everyone at Cameron House for making our Honeymoon all the more special. We will definitely be returning in the near future.
