Was here for long holiday weekend. Came in on the Thur to the Monday. First thoughts. Loved the pitches. Kids loved the park and the swimming pool even my 17year old loved the pool even with 2 broken bones in his foot. Took my youngest to the river enjoyed catching wee fishes in our nets. But put them back again. Went up to the club to play the bingo in the fri night was lovely and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Kids enjoyed eating all the tubs of ice cream as weather was lovely and hot. This is definitely one of my favorite sites now and I will be back. Love ÔŅĹ idea you can do month lets or min season.

User

Thank you to the super friendly staff who took the time to explain how to get places and to chat about the local area. The food was excellent, the outdoor pool was really cool and the evening entertainment was really fun.

It really is out in the middle of nowhere without many pathways (just country roads without pavements til you get up to the main road) if you don't have a car (we were dropped off), but (again thanks to the staffs advice), a taxi to the nearby Castle Hotel or Kippin is only about a fiver. From Kippin, you can get a bus to almost anywhere in the surrounding towns, even out to Stirling.

With it not being close to local shops etc. they could take advantage and have really high prices as I've seen this before, but everything was really reasonably priced, including the bistro, the bar and the small selection of food available to buy in the reception area.

Even though there were lots of children on the campsite, it was really quiet and silent after about 11pm til 10 ish the next morning (not a problem for me as I don't mind noise but I saw someone had complained about it before I came and wanted to say I didn't experience any noise at all).

It's just a really down-to-earth, unpretentious place - not the kind of place to go if you just want to show off your latest caravan and keep up with the joneses (as, again, experienced that elsewhere). I had a great time and will definitely be back. Thanks for having us :)

User

Ricky Green best act we've had in the club in a very long time please get him back really enjoyed his show. So i did all the punters in tonight. Amazing

User

I would just like to say a big thank you to all the staff at campsie glen, as we put our caravan on there for a mini season from the beginning of September to the end of October and we had the time of our lives. We have all so been there a lot in the summer season to and no complaints whatsoever, can't wait till the start of the touring season again to get back up.

Thanks

Have had a static van here since 1988 and still love the place.

Great grounds with lots of room between vans, great place for children, good facilities including heated outdoor swimming pool , lots of room to play, and a club house open at weekends for that bit of extra entertainment if you really feel you need it.

The site is ideal for touring as it is within easy reach of Loch Lomond, the beautiful Trossochs, historical Stirling and the buzzing City of Glasgow. Come and see for yourselves.

User

Had a lovely meal at the restaurant with my husband. Friendly atmosphere and very attentive staff. Will definately make a return visit.

User

Great friendly staff, pool and hot tub. On site bar and bistro only open Thursday to Sunday would highly recommend

User

First time camping and we'll definately be back. Our kids are 7 and 6 and they loved the outdoor swimming pool and play park. The site was quiet so the kids were able to play on their bikes too. We had dinner in the pub on site and relaxed in outdoor area with a few drinks. The river was a short walk away and our dog had a great time swimming in it

User

Campsie Glen is my family's little peace of heaven. We love this site, facilities and staff. Cannot recommend this place high enough. Absolutely fantastic. So much so we have sited our tourer and so has my sister and her man.

User

Camp has been up graded - toilet block both caravans & camping now up too a great standard ( March 2018 ) club house been painted (looks good) plus toilets been upgraded - Games room upgraded new machines - Out door kid play park new bark ( looking good ) swimming pool - water hot plus new jacuzzi ( nice) now all inclosed .

User

Booked the 6 person pod for my daughters 10th Birthday, we had an amazing time it was spotless on arrival. play park and toilets a stone throw away kids had a ball can highly recommend and we will definitely be back.

User

Another fab weekend spent camping at Campsie Glen. Cannot thank Elaine and Alan enough for relocating our pitches due to the weather before our arrival. Our spot was fantastic and our family couldnt have asked for better. Love the revamped pool area! Couldn't get booked in to the restaurant on Saturday night as it's so popular, so, after two nights of BBQ The Saffron in Balfron won for a take out! My wee nephew asked me why the hand dryer was so high (5yrs) as he couldn't reach it...maybe a wee future suggestion for a child friendly dryer otherwise fantastic site and would highly recommend ÔŅĹ

User

A great little getaway with the kids. The facilities are well catered to keep the kids amused with plenty of green space to runaround, great playground area and the swimming pool is the icing on the cake. The food here is amazing and reasonably priced, and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. Would highly recommend .

User

5 nights on the tent pitches, pitches were very spacious and level, we were right beside the playpark, swimming pool, games room and the bar and bistro, toilets immaculate with nice hot showers, kids loved it, staff very friendly and accommodating, will defo return.

User

We booked a 4 person camping pod for 1 night for stop over.. 2 adults and a 2 year old.

On arrival reception staff very friendly couldn’t have done more for us, explained about the park, facilities, map with diagram to show where our pod was. We were in pod D the very last one on the row.

Camping pod in its self was a perfect size for the 3 Of us, clean and everything was there that it stated when booking. However when booking check in times were between 4:00pm to 8:00pm which is reasonable. But at side of pod there was a small bit of Grass in which a man decided to pitch his tent, he arrived just before 8 however the rest of family arrived just after 9 and started to erect the tent with 3 children slamming car doors and turning the music up to the loudest. They eventually finished back of 10 at this point my 2 year old niece was still trying to get to sleep through all the nose. This was whole point in us booking a camping pod for quiet so we could get her down for her sleep at night in which we did not, the space next to pod on map did not state for tents that section was over the road a bit and there was plenty of space.

Restaurant was amazing the friendly staff and chef made sure we were well looked after and food was spot on as well. Only thing let this down was the ignorant family beside us. Which is not parks fault but surely there are check to be done throughout the night and reception staff did say they noticed a tent beside pod which should have been pitched there.

User

This a a lovely little hidden gem of a campsite i took my granddaughter for a four nights stay in one of the pods and she loved it i plan to go back again

User

Have been to this site a cuple of times, bt on this visit I noticed that the toilet block hasnt bn updated, the Games room is poor with nothing in the toy grabber machines and the ones that do have stuff r out of order, wld b better putting that room to better use, the kids play park has bn neglected, marshy to the point the kids didnt get to play on anything apart fae the shute, swimming pool cld do with a dry bit due to condensation the place was very wet wer u had to put your clothes n bags, bt on the plus side it was great to have the cover over it now, kids pool was perfect (grandkids loved it) and the hot tub magic fir us adults, Staff I really nice n friendly especially Reception staff, Bar staff (young boys) cld do with having a more experienced member on with them to help them out, as if extremley busy u cld wait a longtime to b served, bar cld also do with being better stocked with bottled beer/cider as they ran out on Saturday nyt (the busiest nyt) Also think they cld b doing with having bingo on this nyt (wld make them more money too) The entertainment they had in was good n great with the kids, Feels like this has bn a bit of a forgotten site! We have also use the sister sites Lomond woods and Corriefodly which is great n all modern n updated.
