The humble plant
Since the dawn of time humans have relied on mother nature’s abundant harvest for a plethora of natural remedies. Its only in modern times that our perception and in some cases, misinformation that has changed our concept of this knowledge. So much so that the millennia old established bounty that mother earth has provided is now being referred to as alternative, nothing could be further from the truth. One such natural plant is Cannabis. Maybe the swinging sixties music and hippies may have given people a distorted view into what they thought Cannabis represented. But even with that in mind were the generation of the time doing any real harm? They just wanted love and peace.
Sadly though, despite all its potential attributes, Cannabis was stigmatised and forced into the shadows and misty corridors of society. It was only since the advent of social media that we have seen progressive change. Information has been shared freely through a rapidly expanding platform.
