Sorry for lack of updates to this page recently...I've been a bit preoccupied and now I somehow have a one month old?! Not sure how that happened!
Here's a photo of the most gorgeous gift handmade for us by my very talented neighbour Ali, someone who has a multitude of skills and has been such a big help over recent weeks. Neighbour appreciation!! π
I rediscovered this card recently and thought it would be a good one to share on a bit of a dreich day...
This is card number 027; the photo was taken nearly five years ago, on 29th June 2014. Dave and I were driving around one of our favourite Scottish islands and couldn't resist a wee stop here to skim stones and enjoy the sunshine.
It also seems appropriate to share as one day I'll need to bring my wee nephew to see 'his' island - he's only 10 days old just now so he might... have to wait a few years!

It seems fitting to share card number 043 with you this weekend as it features my awesome youngest brother who has just turned 30 - happy birthday Ross! π₯³
Ross and I have done a few Munros together, and this photo was taken on a very warm day in June 2013 as we descended from a long adventure bagging Beinn Narnain and Beinn Ime in the Arrochar Alps. I love a good walking/path photo and despite my tiredness at this point in the day, I couldn't... resist this shot!
Thanks for being an brilliant walking and running companion and a very cool wee bro Ross!

I'm a big fan of Murdoch and his work, check out his beautiful jewellery at Crafters in Melrose π
Dragon spotting in Scotland?!
I saw so many wee lambs on my walk this afternoon, it instantly made me think of card number 059. Taken in April 2013 on the Border Abbeys Way and available in 5x7 or 6x4.
There's talk of snow on the way, but for now - with the sun shining, longer days and lambs frolicking in the fields - I have to say I just love Spring! π
My lovely NHS Borders colleagues have a craft table at the BGH today, to raise funds for the Borders Addiction Service endowment fund.
Some of my cards and flowers are on offer amongst many other items my talented workmates have made (the home baking looks amazing!).
All proceeds go to this worthy cause which will truly make a difference to patients in the Scottish Borders, so if you find yourself near the hospital today why not pop in and have a look?
Lovely afternoon in Peebles for a stroll along the Tweed beside Neidpath Castle. I love Spring!
Had a lovely lunch at the Flat Cat Gallery in Lauder this afternoon - really chuffed to see my cards on sale there π

Working on a very exciting order of cards for an amazing shop in Melrose - can't wait to share more details very soon!

#throwbackthursday to when my very talented neighbour Ali made this amazing cake and resuscitated some of the origami flowers I'd made for my wedding to adorn the top! It was lovely to see them as part of this quirky yet wonderful birthday cake ππ°πΊ
These cards are winging their way to Kelso bonnie Kelso as we speak...it was really lovely to hear some great feedback when this customer reordered on Saturday - she told me she finds card number 057 (the rainbow over the East Highland Way path) a really versatile card that can be sent for a variety of different purposes, whether it be a thank you card, a sympathy card, or simply a 'thinking of you' card. I'm really chuffed to hear this π
She also ordered cards 017 (Smailholm Tower) and 044 (sheep on the Isle of Mull), both of which I really should share the stories of soon! All my cards can be viewed here: https://cannyhoolitcrafts.wixsite.com/hel en/handmade-cards
βοΈThe story behind the shot βοΈ but also πsoppy post alert π!
This is card number 040 and was taken on the Borders Abbeys Way walk approaching Ruberslaw on the stage between Jedburgh and Hawick. We walked this part of the Way on the 2nd of March 2013, a beautiful spring day. We lived in Edinburgh at the time and I was pretty unfamiliar with this part of the #ScottishBorders (aren't we so lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the world?)
I'm sharing this photo today because... it features my wonderful valentine Dave - don't worry I won't make this too soppy as if we're being totally honest he is not the most romantic person in the world (he says most Borders men aren't - anyone care to challenge this?!). One Valentine's Day he bought me oven gloves - but don't worry, the following year I got him the matching apron π
However, romance isn't important (and shouldn't just be confined to one Hallmark day in the year!) when behind the cards, flowers and chocolates (or lack thereof!) there is true love. Whether that be warming my hands on a cold walk or putting toothpaste on my brush for me, Dave is my rock and I wouldn't change him for the world.
Okay so this did turn out a bit soppy in the end, but remember, love is for always not just for Valentine's Day π₯°
*Dave receives no royalties for featuring on my cards π
