Self Employed horse Riding Instructor . I currently hold my BHSPI and Grooms Certificate as well as UKCC 2. I studied for a BSc (hons) Equine Science and have over 20 years experience in the horse industry and worked as Head Groom for Stagecoach Bus Company Coaching Horses. I am also fully qualified and insured in Masterson Method Integrated Equine Performance Bodywork

Based at Lathockar Mill Cottage where i run weekly lessons from young /beginners to adult /Intermediate riders. I am also available to teach at your own yard, hired arenas and xc courses.

During school holidays i run pony day where kids come along with ponys for the whole day having flatwork, jumping Xc lesson along with Stable management, games, arts and crafts.

Bodywork:

The Materson Method® Integrated Performance Bodywork is a unique interactive form of equine bodywork which uses the responses of the horse to the practitioners touch to find and release tension in the three main junctions of the body that most affect performance. It enables the horse to actively participate in the process of releasing tension. Its something we do with the horse rather than to the horse. In fact if the practitioner does not listen and allow the horse to take part it does not work. Due to its intuitive, gentle and interactive nature, it is a great way to build a bond and trust with the horse and also increasing the level of understanding between horse and human.

Although this bodywork was developed to improve performance in equine athletes competing in high demand environments, however it is equally effective technique for any equine discipline from happy hackers to riding club and all other equestrian activities.
