Carradale Bay Holiday Park

I spent the Easter holidays at Carradale Bay Holiday Park, returning for the tenth time in a row! It is a beautiful place, made more accessible by the improvements to the (long and winding) road in. But it still has the most wonderful feeling of being a place quite apart.
Despite the other-worldliness, tranquillity and sense of space, the facilities are excellent. The toilets and showers are scrubbed daily and the hot water is abundant.
There are beautiful walks and cycles, swimming, water-sports, fires on the beach. wildlife to view and two very good places to eat in the evening if you don't fancy cooking. There is a shop in the village with limited opening hours. The owners are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.
There are many regular visitors, all there to unwind and relax so there is a calm, peaceful feeling. I have recommended this site to many friends who have become regulars too so I do not hesitate to recommend it online too.

Absolutely fantastic site in the most stunning area. I cannot fault this site in any way, the facilities were excellent and the owners are very friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to ensure that all their customers have a good stay. The location right next to the beach is perfect and the site never feels crowded as the pitches are grouped in areas separated by trees and shrubs. Truly a wonderful place, can't wait to go back. Highly recommended.

After going to Carradale for several years as a child I have now been coming to the log cabins on site for over 10 years with my own family. The site is clean, well maintained and safe for children. The owner is welcoming, friendly and on hand if needed. The site is ideal for the beach and the village is a short distance away. It is great for those who want to switch off and relax away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Roll on July when we will be back again.

We have returned to Carradale Bay time and again, renting a log cabin and we have only good things to say. The beach is long, beautiful and clean. The cabins are spotless and facilities are excellent. On arrival you are given powered cards to get you started and if you need more they are available at the reception at £1 each. Colin and Laraine Burgess are always helpful and nothing is a bother for them. All in all, I can only say good things about this park and the owners. Oh, there is one negative. We wish we were able to get there more often 😊.

We've been coming to Carradale for a number of years - camping and in the cabins. It's a fabulous site in the most amazing location. The bay is a beautiful long golden beach with stunning sunsets. Fantastic wildlife - regular sightings of otters, wild goats and porpoises amongst other things. The site owner could not be more helpful and accommodating. Always great to arrive to a friendly welcome after the drive! The site is very well kept and clean. I would recommend this site for families and for couples alike.

Well managed, super clean, friendly staff and very peaceful

Fantastic site on the shore of carradale bay. Location and facilities amazing as per what you'd expect from the caravan club. Don't be put off by the final 18 miles of single track road you won't be disappointed! We had a fire on the beach watching the sun go down, that is what is all about!!!

This campsite is in a lovely location with beautiful views and nice walks. It has the usual facilities, all nicely done, but nothing more. However this is by far the most expensive campsite we have ever stayed at (outside London). We cannot recommend it: it is too expensive

Camped here for one night while touring Scotland by motorcycle. This site has modern, well maintained facilities with an excellent pub 10 minutes walk down the quiet road.

CAUTION Do not start talking to the owner about solo overland travel or you will leave over a hour later than planned :-)
