Fishing on Carradale Point. Sometimes the main enjoyment is being here and catching a fish is just a bonus.

Just to update everybody who is concerned about the injured cormorant on the Bay, the spca have been informed and we'll attend sometime today. Could we ask you to keep your dogs away from the bird.

User

Nice to see the site busy and the sun shining. Happy campers.

A beautiful day in Kintyre.

User

Wow !! just had a fantastic weekend .. The site is very spacious for being busy .. The amenities spotlessly whatever time of day .. sitting on the beach with a campfire going enjoy a wee drink ( as you do ) .. will be definitely be back

User

This was our first visit to the area & we absolutely loved it. The owner was so friendly & helpful nothing was too much trouble. Best showers & toilet block we've ever seen at any establishment. The scenery was breathtaking & we couldn't have asked for better weather. Will definitely be back.

User

This must be what heaven is like, wonderful scenery and friendly natives! The campsite sits on a gorgeous stretch of beach and is an easy walk to shop, café, restaurant and pub. Facilities on site are simple and spotless, and Colin is a star, nothing is too much trouble. Must be why we keep coming back.

User

The very best place to unwind and enjoy a stunningly beautiful and unspoiled site. Everything you need to relax and enjoy no matter what the weather. My kids have grown here each summer away from Xboxs and couch potato land. Safe beach and river to play in... Kayaks, fishing, whatever...Hills to explore... Loads of wildlife ...Adventures to be had... Adults and kids alike. Fantastic local restaurants and pubs within easy walking distance. Beach bonfires and great company. Star gazing and fantastic skies. A place where lifelong friends and memories are made. Highly recommend.

User

The long drive down Kintyre is worth it if you want a site that is directly in the sand dunes on a 1 mile wide beach. This beach was used as a training venue for Roger Bannister to break the four minute mile. Fabulous

User

My little piece of heaven here on earth love this place x

User

My little dog and I had the most fantastic time. Location is stunning with a fantastic beach. Very helpful and informative host. My pitch had a wonderful view of the sea in front and the magnificent mountains of Arran to the left. Friendly locals and regular visitors to the site. The Seafood Cabin at Skipness is well worth a visit.

User

Lovely site, well maintained and nice clean shower/toilet block. Fantastic beach and plenty of good walks around the site. Two pubs and cafe within walking distance.. Single track road with passing places on way down from Clonaig was a bit hair raising while towing but take it easy as its worth it to get to destination.

User

Just perfect ....Safe beautiful beach , stunning views, peaceful holiday guaranteed . Colin is a gem , will make sure everthing is done to ensure you enjoy your stay

User

Just back from a long weekend with family and friends attending the first Carradale Music Festival. Site was immaculate, very friendly and helpful owner. Toilet block doesn’t look great from outside but is worthy of 5* inside! Can’t wait to return. Thanks again Colin.

User

I stayed here for a week from May 18th with a group of friend for Sea Kayaking.

Collin was very help full from the start, we found the site well groomed with clean and well kept ablutions with constant hot water.

The beach was excellent ideal for family and Kayaking.

We had a great week Kayaking around the lovely coast line.

Plenty to do, places to visit such as the distilleries, Walking & Cycling.

There are 2 eateries close by which are worth a visit.

Thank you Collin and the team.

I just LOVE this place! No park, no shop, no bar.......no cares! Best place to just detach from reality and connect with nature. Beautiful location and spotless facilities. Fantastic beach - hardly ever any more than a handful of people on it. The owner Colin is a great guy, very helpful and flexible. Can't wait to return next year.

User

Had a fantastic time in this wonderful spot. Would highly recommend the cabins. My children are still missing the place a month later. Spotlessly clean and a credit to the fabulous owner Colin. Will definately be booking again.

User

Great location , good for beach & forest walks

Nice food at Glen bar.

Sheltered with small areas of pitches or beachfront views.

Sea is good for swimming kayaking etc but usual water temperatures

User

Carradale bay what can I say the best place to holiday lovely clean Campsite beautiful beach. Lovely couple Colin and Larraine that run the site. Couldn't do enough to make our time there enjoyable. Looking forward to the site opening again this year. Will definitely be going back. Plenty of good walls to go if you enjoy walking

User

Carradale Bay is just a truly beautiful place where you can really enjoy , first the true natural beauty of Scotland and the peace so perfect from the immaculate beach or the many beautiful walks around the estate! This must be savoured and folks there are generally there because they care about this place of beauty and harmony reigns . I'll always like many , return, again and again .

User

Brilliant place to relax and recharge the batteries, it’s quiet and a beautiful place. and the wardens are cheerful and very helpful.

User

Best camping site we have been so far. Beautiful safe beach, facilities spot on, again the best we have been, no matter what time you go is always clean, the showers are very spacious and plenty hot water. We are here for 3 nights with 2 kids 5 and 7 who disappear to play with the other kids on the site. Fire and marshmallow on beach and the pub very near here to the site, the Glen , has an amazing food. Nice surrounding for cycling, beautiful entrance with big trees and colourful flowers. The owner Colin is very friendly. We can't fault anything.

User

A secluded spot full of everything needed to recharge your batteries; sea, nature and lots to do if you like being outside walking and climbing. Facilities are superb also. I've returned every year for the past possibly 9 years - well worth the 9 hour drive from Hertfordshire
