We we're lucky to celebrate our 30th anniversary there on Saturday night..which was held in the function suite. We can't praise the staff enough, from the first phone call. Until the end of the evening. I was a wee bit worried , as living down in Wales, how it was going to work out? Would it be what we wanted?..walked in on Saturday evening & it looked amazing. Everything was just as we wanted it. The staff had everything organized from the cake, the buffet, the balloons, the toast & I loved the sparkling curtain. The bar staff were fantastic & couldn't do enough for us. The food we were told was stunning..I did manage tae have a roll & sausage..lol If ppl are looking for a stress free evening..then Blantyre Carrigans is definitely the place.

This place is a must visit, gorgeous decor, amazing food, and reasonably priced, always a pleasure to eat here and I’m never disappointed with the food, desserts are to die for ❤️

The staff were so pleasant and friendly.We were there for my birthday and the waitress saw us taking pictures.She offered to take one of all of us.The meals were amazing.Only fault if you can call it a fault was the size of the portions.Nearly all of us had to leave some as the portions were so large.Feel it would be of advantage to the restuaraunt to make all meals available in half portions.Didnt like to see good food go to waste.Would definitely visit again.

That was the second time I have been there for a meal first time my son and daughterinlaw took me for Sunday lunch this time it was my grandsons 18th birthday I would highly recommend this restaurant the food is exceptional very well cooked and the portions huge the staff are great nothing is any trouble and they always have a smile it was a very hot day but the restaurant was fully air conditioned which made it very comfortable so if you have a special occasion I would highly recommend it 👍🍜🍾

Such a lovely warm place to relax and have a meal The staff are friendly and always willing to assist. The food served is fresh and delicious and there is always a nice atmosphere and ambience. Best restaurant in Blantyre

Sorry to disagree with the bad reviews been on many occasions and had a lovely meal great staff always pleasant and very helpful, I have also booked for my wedding meal in June looking forward to our special day �

Our first time here. Lovely food, even though there was too much for me! Will be visiting much more.

My husband and me go to carrigans in Blantyre many times. The food is amazing and if something is wrong it is sorted out immediately. You won't break the bank either as you get quality food at reasonable prices. Last time we were in i required a chair for my foot as I just had an operation. This was all sorted out which I am grateful for. The staff and management are all friendly. Great for food or a quiet drink. Love the atmosphere. 5 star.

My husband and I went in on Saturday afternoon we hadn't booked, got a table quite quickly, staff very attentive food was great, we go in a lot also our family visit regularly never had any complaints about Carrigan's, staff are brilliant.

Been to Cardigans a few times now. Beautiful and very modern restaurant. Visited yesterday with my husband daughter and two g/children. Everyone’s meal choice was much enjoyed including g/children who cleared their plates. Dessert 🍮 to die for. Can’t rate it highly enough

Portions are big (for me) so best be hungry!

A wide variety of food choices too. Anyone can eat there.

Met up with a friend & decided to go to Carrigans for lunch. We hadn't booked & the place was quiet busy I didn't think we'd get a table but the lady shuffled a few tables about in the planner & managed to get us a table. The service was fantastic had drinks within minutes of being seated, our starters arrived after about 10 minutes & mains within half an hour/40 minutes or so of being in the place which I thought was really quick service. The waiting staff were fantastic, pleasant & made sure we had everything we needed. Well done Carrigans.

It was very busy so we had a longer wait for food but when It came it was delicious. Our waiter James was very helpful and attentive. I had the steak pie the meat was very tender and the pastry crispy. My first time there and I will be back

Had the privilege to attend a 50th birthday party in your beautiful function suite, and I must say I am very impressed, staff were just the best,nothing was any trouble, Food on buffet was excellent,and the prices for alcohol impressive. All in all I would recommend you function suite to family and friends.

Let me start by saying the food is cooked to perfection and the restaurant is clean and modern, unfortunately that’s where the good part of the review ends.

We ate here tonight and it took two and a half hours for a two course meal for two adults and a child.

Kids meal was served exactly an hour and a half after walking in the door, long wait for a 6 year old...

Managed our starters 1 hour after entering the restaurant and main course 45 minutes later after complaining twice and told it’s because the food is made fresh.

I can fully understand that on a Sunday night it’s busy but we were seated and drinks ordered before the family of 10 next to us but yet they managed to leave at the same time.

This is all very unfortunate considering the quality of the food.

Got the southern fried chicken but very dry and stringy don't think worth the money

We went in to have a few drinks after a family funeral, 4 of us myself, my daughter, my neice and a friend. Around 8pm My 20 year old daughter went to the toilet with my neice she went into the same cubicle to fix an undergarment for her. When they came out and we’re coming back to the table they were approached and asked to leave by a member of staff accusing them of taking drugs in the toilet. After questioning the member of staff and requesting that she search both their bags I was told that she was sorry, she agreed with all of us that there was nothing happening in the toilet but it was her manager Jacqueline who asked her to put both of them out. After speaking to the Manager she could not even look me in the eye, could only say ‘well they didn’t deny any wrong doing’ how could they deny something they weren’t directly asked, like why they were in the toilet together and let them explain. Why didn’t the Manager approach us instead of sending over another member of staff. This was a very distressing day for all of us as we had just buried our aunt that afternoon. Shocking customer service

Had a meal in Carrigan’s in Blantyre on Friday evening. Despite my girlfriend specifically ordering gluten free chicken fajitas, she very soon started experiencing symptoms consistent with an allergic reaction to gluten, and was unable to finish her meal. The reaction thereafter from management has been nothing short of appalling. During a telephone call with the general manager on Saturday afternoon, no concern was raised for the welfare of my girlfriend, nor was there any acceptance of any potential fault whatsoever on the part of their kitchen staff. Instead it was suggested that unless “protocol” had been followed i.e. to have attended Hospital on Friday evening and obtained blood samples from my girlfriend which proved the presence of gluten; then there was nothing which Carrigan’s could do. The general manager would not apologise for what had occurred as this would have meant that Carrigan’s were accepting liability for what had happened. I requested that Mr Carrigan himself contact me to discuss this issue and was assured that this would happen. To date I have not yet received any contact whatsoever from either Mr Carrigan, nor from any other member of the senior management of Carrigan’s, despite contacting the restaurant on Tuesday evening and this evening to raise this issue. I would hope that this scenario does not repeat itself for anyone else who suffers from allergies and plans to eat at Carrigan’s.
