Some mot repairs carried out on a Vectra, carrying out some brake pipe repairs to find some great garage in west lothian clearly cant flare a brake pipe and only hope one circuit would be enough to slow the car down! Incredible!! 😔

We were called in by a customers whos van was sat in a garage and they couldnt get the injector out. We got it out no problems however its clear why the washer was blown some numpty has tried getting previous washer out by cutting it in half with a screwdriver only to go through washer and butcher the cylinder head! Jesus if you dont have the correct tools or training leave it alone.

Renault Master 2.5 cdti dropped off by recovery truck last night
Been hard to start for over a year, getting worse with winter coming in, boy from recovery company is telling me definately the fuel pump is "f@#ed " mate I say ok mate drop it there and ill get to it tomorrow, checking low pressure supply = zilch open filter and oosh found the fault.
... Expensive pump that would have been for the customer. 3 glow plugs not working due to connector corrosion and couple of injectors needed aswell as a new starter which only intermittently works now due to all the turning over trying to get it to go!! 😎👍

Some of our seized injector work we do

Some jobs from last week, ranging from heated mirror wiring faults, seized injectors, couple of snapped glow plugs, rear axle bushes on a fiesta, low pressure fuel fault on a hyundai etc etc busy times 😎👍

Renault Trafic M9r engine with 4 seized injectors removed for a trade cuatomer in Portobello, Edinburgh. 2 came away complete the rest were the usual joyful process 😎👊 We drilled out 2 injector clamp bolts also as these had snapped inside the head.

Customer : Can you check why my air con when youve done my timing chain, it isnt working on my camper since ive had an alternator fitted?
Me :yeah no probs
This is what i found 😂😁, id have thought it was a wind up if he wasnt a new customer! ... This is what happens when you pay "fred in a shed" 20 quid to fit your cheap part. You couldnt make it up!

A Kia Ceed passed to us by another trade customer with eml on, the fault code reported led us to check the engine timing chain. As can be seen the chain was worn to the point that it had caused the camshafts to move position in relation to crankshaft hence the eml on. We fitted a full new kit, reset adaptions and it was running perfect again.

Audi A3 2.0 tdi bkd engine booked in for routine cam belt change. When the car arrived it was clear someone had been at this car, 3 bolts missing from crank pulley, engine mount bolts slack etc etc. As part of the timing belt change we change the studs for tensioner and guide only to find someone had used chemical metal to bond it in to the engine. Absoulute unreal what bodges you find.

Renault Kangoo 1.5 dci with gearbox locking up intermittently at low speeds. Numerous faults found inc bearings damaged and snapped selector fork. Were just waiting on parts to put this back together. 😎

Nice easy clutch change on a Ford Fiesta, elderly driver was having issues with selecting gears. Not everyday you see a clutch plate like this 🙈
