Congratulations to newlyweds Dave & Jules, have a wonderful day and enjoy your honeymoon touring Scotland in Brucie :)
With the engine that we got last week now well on its way to being stripped down I've got a date with the sandblaster today.
What an awesome surprise for us in the post this morning!!! I had to take a picture quick as I don't think this amazing looking Swiss chocolate will be about for long once Jim gets wind of it. Thank for taking the time to send us some of your pictures Debbie & Tom 😄
Apparently we're meant to be in for a cracking summer so we've made a few design changes to allow for lots of sun and fresh air while driving. Introducing the VW pallet :) this is an engine we picked up yesterday that has sat in the back of a shed since the early 90's. Out of curiosity we wanted to see if we could get it running before stripping to get rebuilt. Couple of new parts and some tweaking and It took Jim less than an hour to get her going. What a legend!!
I've always enjoyed our Canadian guests over the years and today's were no different. We're loving Margaret and Catherine's sense of adventure (and the warning signs they brought along with them) I'm sure you won't miss them out on the road. Have a great time guys :)
A nice early 6am start for us this morning as Bumble and Brucie get ready to go on their next adventure. Apologies for anyone who's got in contact with us lately and we've not been back in touch. The last month has been really full on restoring Cali with far too many long shifts, but I'll be spending the rest of today getting in touch with you all.
Cali out basking in the sun after getting resprayed at the weekend. We were never happy from the first day it came back from its original respray a few years back but she's looking great now!! :) time to get her built back up over the next couple of days
A few weeks ago we had posted that we had the privelage of being involved in a wedding shoot at House For An Art Lover where we brought along our lovely newly restored wedding camper (Pearl). Our new Californian import camper getting it's first taste of some scottish rain, should be finished for the end of this week and we'll get some more pics on :)
It's been a busy weekend. Congrats to Gordon & Diane who got married yesterday and heading off tomorrow to enjoy their honeymoon in Thailand :) we had the pleasure of taking Pearl to a photoshoot today at the House For An Art Lover where we were working with some fantastic wedding companies (watch this space for the photos on the coming months) and we have some newlyweds coming today who are going to be road tripping around Scotland in Bumble. Hope everyone had a good Easter
Looks like it's going to be another cracking day :) we've got 4 pairs of tickets to give away for Scotland's exclusive wedding event at Hampden stadium where we will be attending with the lovely Pearl and Bumble. First 4 people to PM us will get a pair of tickets.
Special offer for today at our stand at the wedding show in the SECC. Book today and receive your first 100 favours free. We've brought the lovely pearl and bumble with us today
Both opening quarter glass now cleaned up and fitted with new seals, one door built up and one to go. This is my least favourite bit of building the campers back up. Fitting the chrome scrapers is a really fiddly job with the added pressure of not scratching some nice new paint.
While we're waiting on some some parts coming in for the interior time to get the cab doors quarter glass cleaned up and fitted with new seals before going back onto the doors
Another cold day in the workshop but we've started laying out the interior for our new camper
We're a step closer to putting our new camper back together, that's the doors and tailgate now coated with brilliant orange :)
Brucie all ready for his first trip of the year. We've got Laura and Ryan heading up to Glencoe. At least it's a bit milder today and let's hope there's a little break and the rain stays away :)
