Castle Douglas Playgroup

We have a relaxed and friendly Playroom which provides opportunities to learn through play. Outdoors we promote nature and the environment we live in.

Castle Douglas Playgroup was established in 1976 to provide a safe, caring home-from-home environment where young children can learn through play.

Friendly, experienced staff aim to provide a top quality service in a safe, happy and comfortable environment. They place a clear emphasis on the social and emotional welfare of each child.

The playgroup is open to children aged from two years, nine months until they start school. In partnership with Dumfries and Galloway Council, we also provide funded places for three and four-year-olds.

It runs from 9: 15am - 12: 25pm, Monday - Friday.

Our group for two-year-old children is called Little Stars. It runs on Wednesdays and Fridays from 1. 15-3. 15pm.
