Recorded here over the last year, Jenna Reid’s beautiful album with Mr McFall's Chamber is now complete.

Just finished recording a new album with the amazing Fara, produced by Anna Massie!

Wonderful to see Eliza Carthy and The Wayward Band and Karine Polwart being shortlisted for the Radio 2 folk album of the year. Both projects were an absolute pleasure to work on and it feels great that two out of the four nominated albums came through these doors!

Spent two days in Castlesound with Stuart. First class! He didn't like my Les Dawson version of the Bluebell Polka. Still 5 stars tho.

Castlesound - when you come to mix you load up the files in Logic and press play and it already sounds great because Stuart is a master and has great mikes and does the hard work in the studio changing mikes and placing them right so what goes onto disk sounds great. He never makes you feel rushed or that anything is too much trouble and always makes your music his priority.

Always welcoming, friendly and professional! I've worked there in several formats over the years and it's always brilliant. Excellent mastering studio too.

The gear is also exceptional with a real piano. Pretty much the only place to go for Large Ensembles, Big Bands, Salsa bands etc

I recorded my 2nd album This Feeling Inside in 1994 at Castlesound studios and I have also used this studio on many other occasions .

Stuart Hamilton was the Sound engineer at the time, I couldn't ask for a a better engineer, and now I'm delighted to hear that he is the owner of Castlesound Studios now. Highly Recommended !!
