About Castleview House

Castleview House is Kirkcudbright’s first VisitScotland five-star, self-catering property, offering spacious accommodation for up to eight guests & dogs.

Castleview House Description

The house has been lovingly renovated and carefully converted from the former Masonic Hall to to meet the highest environmental and quality benchmarks, with all new fixtures and fittings plus underfloor heating throughout the ground floor and in all bathrooms. We hope you will enjoy your stay with us while you visit the area.

Castleview House can easily accommodate groups of up to eight guests in four large double bedrooms, with scope for two children to share with their parents in a fold-down sofa bed in the Jewellery Room.

Wheelchair users enjoy ready access to the public rooms on the ground floor.

The house is named for its clear views down to MacLellan’s Castle, and from the bedrooms the views overlook Kirkcudbright, down to the estuary and uplands beyond. Whilst the house is centrally located in Kirkcudbright and barely 100 yards from the town centre, it has a quiet location with easy access to all the town’s facilities.

Castleview House backs on to the Hope-Dunbar Park, which includes a recently enhanced children’s play park, and consequently easy access to the woodland walks adjoining the town.

Our postcode is DB6 4BY, if you’d like to view our location on a map.
