The last Halloween event of this weekend. We still have 2 to go this week coming!
DJ Nicola bringing you a Halloween twist of 'Slide It In', make sure to head down and join in the festivities!

User

See everyone soon! We can't wait to see your costumes! 🎃🎃🎃🎃

We are currently looking for part time bar staff and glass collectors to join the family. Bar experience is preferred but not essential as we have a great training programme in place. The position would be 2-3 shifts per week including Friday and Saturday nights, a potential for more shifts when we have gigs etc. Looking for keen beans who aren't afraid of hard work.
Perks of the job include; staff discounts, working with some of the soundest people you'll meet, decent tunes and incentive schemes to name a few 🙂
If this sounds up your street then fire a recent CV to faith@hfents.com with a brief cover letter letting us know who you are 🙂

i LOVE the cathouse! iv been coming here for years since it started with the unders and its like my second home. im there every weekend and its honestly one of my favourite places to be. i have met so many lifelong friends and i continue to meet more amazing people every time im there. there is no judgement from anyone and its only place i feel i can be myself. the staff have always been plesent and they try there best to keep and maintain a brilliant atmosphere. people are moaning about the change in music and it not being a rock club anymore but do you not realise there is different floors for different tastes??!!... head to floor one for rock/metal..floor 2 for punk/indie ect and yager bar for some rnb ect. stop moaning and picking at stupid shit and if u dont like it then dont go! im sure u wont ve missed! ill be a loyal customer until the end of days :D

Was here on Saturday with my boyfriend for our second visit. Place is brilliant, great selection of music that took me right back to being 14 drinking in the skatepark with a 2 leg of Frostys and a half bottle of Glens. Would highly recommend to others. Cheap drinks too would happily ditch the pubs and just spend all night here.

User

Nothing better, Staff are great! Great laugh, great music. A place you can go in with 1 mate and end up coming out with 5 New mates! A place you know you will feel safe with security going around and staff with mops cleaning up on the go!

You make me skint, but You're worth it! it's Not Glasgow with the Catty

User

My first ever time at the cathouse on the 1st September and it was the best night out I have ever had the music was great and so versatile the place was constantly being cleaned staff going around with mops cleaning every spill cleaning tables the lot drinks where mega cheap and it was massive long waits to be served either the atmosphere was amazing I would deffo be back in a heart beat

User

Love the place, have for years... miss the comic books on the toilet walls though (as pretty as the new toilets are) always a great night! ♡♡

I have seen a hella lot of pissy, bitchy reviews for this club.

"The bouncers need educated" - they've been nothing but friendly to me for the last decade (even in Catty Unders when I was a wee fanny)

"The floor is sticky and it's too warm" - it's a fucking club, get a grip.

"It's full of posers and college idiots" - who are any of you to say what a poser is? Peoples music taste does not need to reflect in what they wear. I'm standing on the dancefloor, screaming along to a belter of a tune I look around and see almost everyone wording the lyrics along with me, they're there for the music, who gives a fuck. We've happily embraced ladybird man and his wonderful wardrobe, why does some elses tracky bottoms or rainbow sparkly dress differ from that? I can happily say that real people who are there for the music, drink and a good laugh don't give a fuck what people wear or what they look like.

"The music is too mainstream, too many crowd pleasers" ...........

Really? Their called crowd pleasers for a reason. Yes, the cathouse has got with the times and laced more mainstream songs into their sets. For the same reason as my last point, everyone has different tastes. They would probably have half the business of they didn't and would be struggling to stay open. I agree that I loved the organic days when I was introduced to new songs that I hadn't heard with a few well-known belters inbetween but fuck it. It's always a good night.

All in all, I will always defend and talk up the Cathouse. The staff are top and the tunes are great. You get sweaty, you get whiplash from headbanging, you get elbowed and burnt in the smoking area, you get drinks dropped on you, your throat hurts from screaming along to songs, your eardrums hurt after you leave. It's an experience and I'll never stop returning for more <3

User

Had a great night. Been 7 years since my last visit. Will be a regular again. Met great people. Really friendly staff and great drink prices. One bad thing tho is the dj's can't download any song requested by the customers. It's easily done.

User

Can't praise this club and all who work there enough.

Went on Saturday and the assistance and help provided to enable us to be able to enjoy one of our favourite bands was phenomenal.

We both have limited mobility and they were wonderful. Making things as easy and comfortable as possible for us.

Awesome place and people would highly recommend.

Thank you ALL so much

User

Bartender called Charlie is top notch, very attentive, friendly and efficient even when it’s very busy. Credit to the company.

User

Attended Catty last night for their Halloween night (my first time in the club) and honestly I would go back in a heartbeat!

The bouncers were intimidating, but so lovely and helpful on the way in and out of the venue, the bar staff were efficient, drink was reasonable, the music was brilliant, and for once in my life there were no "creepy guys" following the girls around unlike in other clubs around town!

I'd always shunned Catty for it's reputation of the "goth club" but I take back everything and can say it's quite possibly one of the most versatile and best clubs I've been in around Glasgow!

Can't wait to come back!!

User

Absolutely loved it not been back in 5 years anxitey is a bitch but been able to go out and seriously have loads of fun i really really enjoyed it

User

Good nightclub with good music, only thing I'd suggest though is for the music to be turned down a wee notch so we can hear each other talking without having to shout in each other's ears, other than that had a good night at the Machine Head after party.

User

You would think free entry for those attending Sepultura would mean similar music but didn’t have Sepultura to play??? Drinks were cheap and staff friendly so made up for a teenybopper ending

User

Well what can I say. I've been waiting 2 hours already just so I can wait till the end of the night for them to count their till to see that I've been shorted on my money. I gave a 20£ note and got change back for a 5£. They said to give them my number but of course that isn't going to do anything. I told the bartender as soon as I got my change but he said there was nothing he could do. What a joke.

User

We tried to get in but couldn’t because the que was so long we couldn’t stand in that line it was still like that at 2 o’clock in the morning so we left and went to campus . You had discounts on drinks for Paramore and other concerts no wonder we couldn’t get in don’t think it was a good idea doing it all at the same time . Our night was ruined we couldn’t see our friends who were in there then left cause of the time so hope you are happy knowing you made our night terrible don’t think I will go here in a hurry and you made my brother upset do you know what it is like seeing someone for you care for upset . Whoever idea was that made the idea for discounts on different concert drinks was a dumb idea so thank you for screwing up the night .

User

Security are rubbish! Looking for an excuse to put someone out. Out with a group of friends and because one of us had a little wobble on (not the worst of the group) all of us were put out! No happy like!

User

Not happy guys. Been through a few times and always had a great time. But to be knocked back from entering the place after TWO DRINKS by your "door staff" (lol) is just ridiculous.

I could understand this if I was in a state but this wasn't the case whatsoever I travelled 80 miles to head to your venue with a pal but I wasn't even given a reason. Granted, they don't need to give me one but christ, can you no hire staff without a chip on their shoukder? It'd be great if I could've spoke to an acrual human being with sone actual people skills. I even went across the road to grab some food across the road to sober myself up even more before experiencing the sams outcome. I'm a reasonable bloke and to be treated like a wee bairn by staff on a power trip is pretty shite. I'm not one for leaving reviews but this has ruined my night.

Even if they'd said to me "grab yourself a bite ti eat mate and come back im an hour" I'd of respected that. But nah to be spoken to like that is ridiculous. Disappointed guys I enjoyed your place but safe to say I won't be back. And thus is me being nice.

User

Myself, my girlfriend and a friend qued for over 20 mins to get in, my girlfriend got in but myself and my friend were denied because of "just no the night"...WHAT!? Like actually...what!?!? All 3 of us were sober and smart dressed...were we not smutty enough for your standards!? Or we're we to fucking sober!? Absolute shambles of a place and your "bouncers" need properly trained on what's acceptable to get into a club and who's not

User

Don't come around the corner laughing in a good mood if you expect to get in! Walked from the Hydro to The Cathouse after the Alice Cooper show only to be turned away for being 'too drunk'. We most certainly were not drunk, just in high spirits after seeing such a fantastic show. Jumped up, rude bouncers on the door. We came from Belfast for the show and to go to the Cathouse. Maybe they didn't like our accents/where we are from? Very very disappointed, after hearing such great things about this place. Will definitely never try my luck again. Disgrace.
