About Catrine Bowling Club

This page is about promoting Catrine Bowling Club, encouraging new members and advertising bowling tournaments and other events.

Catrine Bowling Club Description

Catrine Bowling Club has a proud history and was established in 1872. Located next to the River Ayr, it's a beautiful place to spend time in the summer, either for throwing 'bools' if you're a member or just drinking a few beers outside in the sunshine.

Like most of the villages in East Ayrshire, in recent times Catrine has been under threat of losing some key institutions such as the Games Hall, Library and even the facilities at the football park. The bowling club is another part of the community that is suffering, due to a lack of new members and funding. Hopefully this page will help to make people aware that we also need the support of the wider community to survive in the long run. It's been going since 1872 and we don't want to lose it.
