Our Mugdock Centre was broken into on Tuesday night and there has been an attempted break in at our Erskine centre last night - together with another 3 or 4 local garden centres in the past 10 days- garden centres seem to be a target for these rogues just now! The police in the area are on high alert and they have some good leads but please ladies and gents if you do see anything suspicious at our centres or you hear any “pub talk” let us know. This fortunately doesn’t usually happen at Caulders but it is very stressful and concerning- especially for our team’s safety! Thanks!

We visited Caulders Kirkintilloch for our Christmas tree today. We have never had a real tree before so we didn't know much about caring for them or the kind of stand we would need.

After wandering around B&Q and Dobbies aimlessly yesterday we visited Caulders today.

What a difference! The staff were so brilliant and helpful and advised us on picking a tree and caring for it. They put it in the stand for us, netted it up and put it in the car.

Great service, thank you.

User

Was there for afternoon tea which was delicious. Would visit again.

User

Was recommended by family so thought we would give it a go. Absolutely beautiful food!! Macaroni to die for. Hubby got Roasted Red Pepper soup and I wanted it!!! Cakes are fab too!! Defo be back

User

Two of your employees in the Erskine branch came to my rescue yesterday to help with a flat tyre in the car park. It was a bitterly cold afternoon and they went above and beyond the call of duty to help me. I can't thank them enough. I hadn't previously been to your garden centre but you can consider me a frequent customer now. Thanks again. They are a credit to your company!

User

Thank you for sorting out my small issue, very professional service we are happy to recommend the Cupar branch ♡ Beautiful garden centre ♡

User

Mothers day afternoon tea was amazing and worth the money x

User

Lovely garden centre that we stumbled upon whilst in the area. Quite a little gem as looks small on the outside, but is actually quite deceiving as it's fairly spacious and well stocked on the inside. Lovely plants, garden equipment, homeware and quality gift items such as Yankee Candle & Arran Aromatics. Enjoyed pottering around and stopping for tea in the Buttery cafe. The cakes looked beautiful and the giant fresh cream meringue was to die for! Worth a visit!

User

Incredibly nice employees! Beautifully set up! Strong, healthy plants that are well looked after. Everything's there that you could possibly be looking for, for your garden and indeed your home! It's like Christmas everyday, if you love your garden!

User

Have been coming here for years and can honestly say the macaroni cheese is the best I have ever tasted!! Staff are always so friendly and helpful and the home made cakes are irresistible.

User

Visited here yesterday for Afternoon Tea. We were early but that was no problem to the staff who were more than obliging. I was in Kirkintilloch to visit family and was very impressed with Caulders and would certainly search one out if I needed to. Well done to all the staff.😀

User

Lunch was lovely unfortunately my friend slipped on the floor going to ladies and is a bit bruised today.staff were informed of this

User

Good variety of plants and a big gift section. Prices on the high side. Love the restaurant for lunching with friends. Could do with extend ion to their vegetarian options.

User

Visited the Erskine Branch today for an Afternoon Tea. Something we are very fond of but we were highly disappointed!

The portions were bitesize more for a child.

Definitely not worth the cost.

Have been for many teas at similar cost but never this size.

Think you have to look at your competitors to see how it should be presented.

Will return to Centre but NOT for Afternoon Tea

We visited the Kirkintilloch branch of Caulders for my mother's birthday today, and we were not impressed. The lentil soup was watery and flavourless, but the main issue was the service.

Our waitress was extremely abrupt and snappy, and seemed as though she would rather be doing anything but serve us.

The cafe was very busy, and so some delay would be understandable, but while food was delivered promptly we had to wait a full 45 minutes for drinks to be delivered, by which time we had finished our meals. We were informed that "people are waiting for teas ahead of you", but this does little to explain why bringing two cans of juice took the best part of an hour.

We have been return customers for quite some time, and have always been satisfied with the quality and service of the restaurant, but it is doubtful that we will be returning again.

We stopped in at Caulders at Mugdock Park with our dogs...very disappointing! They have an area you can sit with your dogs with a water bowl...but cluttered with things lying around, no umbrellas up to provide shade as they too were lying on the ground, they won't serve food outside except drinks/cakes and 'possibly a panini' that you'll carry out yourself, so zero service! Restaurant staff in particular were far from happy or friendly. Dobbies on the other hand WILL cater for dog s and owners...with a smile and super friendly service and are happy for you to spend money. We left, and so did another 3 walkers and their dog..in disgust! We recommended Dobbies to them! Kirkintilloch is our regular and the service is superb...but we wouldn't go to Mugdock again!
