Went with Coleen tonight for her 18th DJ Paul Doyle was amazing played belting tunes just a shame it wasn't busy especially for a Friday night. Need more promotion 2ork done and the place would be rocking every weekend not just sat nights xx

This is a great underground bar situated in Blackburn, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the bar itself has a really cool feel. The guys from Studio 3 collective look forward to working at the Cellar bar on a regular basis, quote "it kicks the arse out of staying in Blackpool", says it all really. Highly recommended if you are out and about in the town looking for something different. It's also a winner for promoters looking for a venue to host their own events. Either way it's definitely worth checking out on a weekend. Enjoy!

That was an absolutely insane night guys!!! This a golden gem of a venue with an awesome atmosphere ­¤¢Æ

Looks shitott down there. They've done a great job with how it is decorated and designed. It doesnt look like your ever day nightclub locally. In general it is a great venue. Something Blackburn has needed for a while.

It's great for the cellar to of reopened by a great bunch of folk, a place to let go of your worries and relax with a bunch of like minded party people. Been lucky to of played there a hand full of times and look forward to many a good night in the future. 5*

Unreliable and dishonest people. Bands stay away. They canceled a gig with no warning and no notice letting down a band that travelled 1500 miles to play there.

Phil Davey is one of those you don't wanna work with.



He got our DOBERMANN gig cancelled WITH NO WARNING although we'd been trying to contact him for more than a week, as time got closer to the event.



We're on tour, we've lost a gig, LOT OF MONEY and time and as easily imaginable we couldn't make up for that.



He didn't give us any explanations, he didn't pick up the call nor getting back to us with a simple message.



Some things may happen when you're on the road, but once again, what makes difference, it's the way you deal with people.



You can block us, no one will stop the shit that hit the fan.



Your name will be blacklisted and bear in mind our conversation on FB are already evidences for the UK court.

Looking at other reviews at the Cellar Bar, I also must attempt to warn bands before playing the gig. My band The Symmetry, were invited to play an Indy night 2nd March, through a friend who was DJing and organising the event.



We brought support in the form of an amazing acoustic guitarist and singer, invited friends and our fan base who came down even though there was snow on the roads and the gig went great and the crowd was amazing.



All the PA equipment for a band was provided by us, even though house PA equipment was previously available or maybe is for other bands.



Our contact was also Phil Davey. Phil gave us half my bandŌĆÖs fee on the night, saying we need to come back after the weekend to get the rest. Alarm bells are ringing at this point, however the reason we did the gig in the first place was to help re-launch the Cellar Bar as we have all grown up in the area and want there to be more live music venues supported by the local community. We donŌĆÖt live far so we agreed. The DJ and support act had not been paid anything on the night.



Then came ŌĆśthe silenceŌĆÖ in communication from Phil @ The Cellar Bar. Over 20 phone calls, numerous txt messages later. I got hold of Phil once, in which he agreed to pay us the money owed, he also mused that he needed to pay the DJ who organised everything too.



We waited, and waited, but there was nothing happening. Various members of the band tried to contact the mysterious Phil, with no luck. IŌĆÖve given Phil a week telling him I would have to go public with our grievance but ŌĆśthe silenceŌĆÖ endures. Blackburn needs live music venues, but it also needs people to stick to their agreements or venues will get a bad name.



Phil we are still open to talking and getting things sorted. You have my number, you have my bank details. Get in touch soon....
