Falkirk Sports Council Best Sports Club 2019 😁 During the last 12 months we have had; two players on the UK Sport World Class Programme, a Junior World Champion (the amazing Jordyn Smith!), two players at the World Poomsae Championships(including the amazing Natasha Wilson), two at the Junior World Championships, two players on the GB Development Programme, one on the Cadet Programme and seven on the GB Poomsae National Squad!! Thank you to everyone involved in our club - coaches and assistants, students, parents and sponsors. None of this success would be possible without your fantastic support. It is very much appreciated.

Lennox & Fraser in the final of the best kicker competition at class last night. Excellent skills demonstrated and the very difficult decision on the winner went to Fraser. Also, Yellow belt awarded to Cameron from Sunday’s grading. Well done boys.

18 Central students were recognised for their achievements in 2018 at the Falkirk Council annual sports awards tonight. Special awards went to Max Cartwright 1st Place cadet, 2nd Place junior - Natasha Wilson and 2nd Place senior Lauren Mckinlay. We also won sports club of the year. Congratulations everyone on all your hard work and recognition. Thank you to all our coaches who helped us win tonight - Ann Haston, Irene Tasker, Darren Smith, Shona Smith and to all our assistant and junior coaches. WE DID IT.

Congratulations to this month’s successful grading candidates. Special mention to 4 year old Thomas on getting an advanced level pass.

Silver for Max at the WTA competition in Doncaster. He won his first match by stoppage in the first round. Just lost in the final in the last few seconds by a body shot 10-12. Well done Max.

We presented Natasha & Kara with £150 each to support them in their last few weeks of training before the European poomsae Championships next month in Turkey. Good luck girls.

Neve wins the Dutch Open. She beat France 7-5. Good job Neve. 2 golds in 2 competitions this year. Keep up the hard work and focus. Congratulations.

This is a truly excellent Taekwondo club! Our son was a visitor at Central Taekwondo Academy while we were in Scotland for 9 days, and trained with Master Bailey and Coaches Stuart and Darren: we were truly impressed. The training is serious and rigorous, with a sprinkling of fun. The club includes a cadre of competitive athletes, whom our son was able to join for training. Further, we were extended an extremely friendly welcome by Master Bailey, coaches, students and parent alike - we were made to feel at home and one of the club. Central Taekwondo Academy provided our son with an amazing TKD experience. They are exceptional. Many, many thanks to you all.

My son Ethan is quite a hyper boy since being at central taewondo his hyperness and behaviour has improved with encouragement and discipline, has met lots of friends is a huge fan of the teacher and says would like to be as good as master Bailey one day!
