About Centre For Health Science

The Centre for Health Science (CfHS) was developed to bring together some of the healthcare and medical-related organisations in and around Inverness in order to encourage their growth, interaction and innovation. Facilities within the centre include, the Highland Health Sciences Library, lecture theatres and meeting rooms, café, break out areas, AV and VC equipment, Clinical Skills Centre and the Highland Clinical Research Facility. The centre is situated beside Raigmore Hospital in Inverness, within the developing health cluster, including neighbouring LifeScan. Tenants include, University of Stirling, University of Aberdeen (UoA), University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI), NHS Education for Scotland, NHS Highland and LifeScan Scotland. There are also a number of units available to incubating business. The CfHS Company is a Company Limited by Guarantee and has three members: Highlands and Islands Enterprise, UHI and UoA. The aim of the company is to support, promote and identify growth in health and medical related activities in the Highlands and Islands and to develop the CfHS concept further in a Phase IV development planned for the Inverness Campus.
