A recent and fitting addition to the city's wealth of murals: a tribute to Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Created by Art Pistol and Glasgow graffiti artist Rogue-One, you'll find this artwork on the banks of the Clyde overlooking the Clutha Bar

In celebration of the 150th anniversary one of Scotland’s most influential creative figures, Charles Rennie Mackintosh, we are delighted to introduce our Bouquet of Roses cocktail menu!
Inspired by the great Glaswegian designer and his rose motif each cocktail is named after a different rose, infused with a beautiful blend of ingredients

We had a lovely champagne afternoon tea. Catered really well for gluten free request. Lovely surroundings, delicious food and really friendly and professional staff (especially the young American girl).

Highly recommended

User

Great bar staff day we went Mon 14th May v knowledgeable about the Gins no slice of Orange for my Whitley Neil! So was disappointed and did miss opportunity to promote another Gin but like I said been before so many times love it!

User

Beautiful surroundings, very helpful and friendly staff, who are expert at making cocktails. Would have liked to stay longer, but we had somewhere else to go. All staff excellent. and very hard-working. Would thoroughly recommend a visit here, and I will be back!

User

We were there yesterday and had a very enjoyable afternoon tea, no trouble with service the boys were very attentive and the food was fresh and enjoyable. Even the champagne which we don't enjoy as a rule was very nice. Thank you.

User

It was nice but 15mins for a cocktail to be made was a bit long and when friends joined us it took another 15 mins for another cocktail to be made! Staff were very smart but very slow service..

User

We were regulars but not now after the refurb it's lost character plus drinks are expensive and they now CHARGE £1.50 /£3.00 for nibbles when it used to be free need another venue now for us

User

The bar and the staff were very nice. Tha staircase and carpet leading up to the bar were filthy, which does not lend for a very good first impression.

User

Lovely place for a couple of drinks. Lovely atmosphere. Only complaint I have was every time my partner went to the bar, and ordered exactly the same thing, the price was different every time ranging from £11 to £14.

User

I was there with my friend as it was an Itison Deal we got for her birthday. Staff were nice but felt the afternoon tea wasnt all that good. Have had better elsewhere but glass of champagne! was nice. Sandwiches could have been a wee bit bigger and there was no cream with the scones.

User

I was really looking forward to my first visit for Champaign Afternoon Tea as a birthday treat for my friend . Firstly the room was just ok nothing special and uninteresting , might have been nicer in the bar area . Staff were uninterested , no polite conversation , didn’t come back to check everything was to our satisfaction , I asked for some butter for my scones girl didn’t understand me and thought I was asking for the bill ( don’t think she spoke much English ) one of my scones had a big hard lump in the middle . We travelled on 2 buses and 2 1/2 hours each way for our day out in Glasgow . So disappointed !!!! especially as it was my birthday present to my friend . The only member of staff that was a credit to you was the tall young man behind the bar as we entered , engaged with us right away as he could see we were at a loss at where we should be , made eye contact , smiled and asked if he could help . We were there on the 6th June at 3-4pm .

User

Cocktails were great, not sure if I would spend more than the time for one or two drinks at the most there. Felt a bit like a cattle market and just pot luck when getting served at the bar.

Definitely would only use it to pop into to start a girly night out.

User

We had booked a table and when we arrived we were advised you can’t book a table even though we had booked! They had a table we could use which was lucky. Service was poor and slow , cocktails were good. I’ve don’t go in here often as I always find the service poor and again it was in general the place is overrated. Much nicer places for champagne in the city centre.

User

Was there sat night for my partners works night out, not at all impressed to be there for 7 to be seated for 7.30 main course didn't arrive until just before 9 and was very poor, turkey with stuffing very dry and chewy some potatoe thing with cheese and dryed up vegetables not something you would expect to be served in a hotel of that standard service also slow and poor dissapointed :(

User

Was there for afternoon tea today was shown to our seat and a drinks order taken 35 minutes later and still no drink .After asking the waitress about this she had to take the order all over again . So we're sat down at 1500,coffee,champagne and afternoon tea set before us at 1550, and out the door for 1615. The young waiting staff were all very friendly but completely unmanaged. A very disappointing experience, particularly as this was a Xmas gift.

User

Not that impressed sandwiches and cakes not a lot to choose from. Only good point was the scones and the prosecco. Been to better places for afternoon tea. However my son loved it seen the trains and got to run along the big corridor to the ladies toilet

User

Just a wee question. After having afternoon tea today can you please tell me who came up with the idea of rice sandwiches? Like eating last nights Chinese takeaway in a sandwich. Not pleasant and a very weird choice for afternoon tea. we left them as they were pretty inedible. so the only choice on the plate was egg or rice....the little tuna rolls were nice and the little pinwheel was ok too. Would have asked at the time but only two staff members who were really busy. Had afternoon tea at Cameron house a while back and the food and service there was stunning so today's experience was a little disappointing. Tea served a good 20 mins before the food, so it was cold by the time we received our food and it was hard to get someone to bring hot water as they seemed understaffed. Oh and you need a bulb changed above first table on left as it's flickering, disco vibe.

User

I was in last night, waited at the bar for around 15 minutes, staff behind bar didn't seem to pay attention as to who was next to be served, all staff appeared to be mixing cocktails, barman was very rude when I was discussing the poor service with another customer, eye contact from staff would be good. We eventually left and went to bar Alston, it was busy, staff pleasant and very observant. Expected much better service from Champagne Central..

User

Your bar is a disgrace. I stopped visiting after my other half came in for food and sat waiting for 30 minutes to be served. He tried to get the attention of your staff and every one of them ignored him, so he eventually walked out. We decided today to try again. Lo and behold, he stood at the bar, which only had three people at it, for around fifteen minutes where every staff member ignored him and the other men stood at the bar waiting to be served. A group of girls walked up, and were served instantly. Get your male bar staff fricking training, what an absolute joke!!!!

User

Was in the bar last night with my friend. Service was awful ! Or lack of it...stood waiting 25 minutes for two drinks I wasn't even acknowledged I was waiting...people came in after me and my friend and got served straight away ! We left .
