Thank goodness it's Friday - and what a weekend Dundee has lined up for you!
For anyone visiting the V&A or going to the entertainment over the weekend, have a fantastic time ❤️
In the meantime, the most important bit of information you need just now is - it's homemade green pea and leek today :-)

This months natter and nibbles will be brought to you by Mike Ramsay from Nursing. Mike will be talking about the following:
Compassion and the public’s expectation of it as an associated/ inherent attribute in nursing has been a topic under increasing discussion in the literature in that past few years. In the United Kingdom (UK), a number of high-profile departures from acceptable care have been highlighted, resulting in a media, lay-opinion and Governmental perception tha...t graduate nurses are too removed from the caring ideal to be sufficiently compassionate.
Public and professional enquiries have suggested forms of ‘compassion training’, the former Prime Minister, David Cameron, proposed a pre-education year as a care assistant for nursing applicants and others have suggested a return to an apprenticeship model of nurse training. These all have one thing in common: conclusions based on belief rather than evidence that graduate nurses are less compassionate and that these very different things will ‘fix’ it. My thesis explores the prospect of evidencing and advancing understanding of this complex issue in nursing.
This natter will focus on one facet on my DEd thesis, namely a relational model of compassion and allied concepts and how they fit and interact in the expression of human compassion and, ultimately, in the construction of compassionate care.
