We stipulate and check that the best possible 'grade' of beef is chosen for our customers. This is something we have been since 1933 and continue to do so!!

We are looking for a new part-time counter staff member to work in our busy butcher shop in baillieston.
Preferably the successful candidate will have experience in a butcher shop, if not working in deli, retail or customer service experience. You will be in charge of making sure front shop is in order and all customers are being attended too. Baking steak pies will also be pet of your job roll.
... Hours of work are Thursday, Friday 9-5.30pm and Saturday 9-5pm, every week.
Pay depending on experience and can be discussed.
Extra hours at Christmas and new year will be expected.

OUR STORY .... for those who don’t know ...
Chapman's is a family run butchers in Glasgow's east end, which was established in 1933. The original shop was in Carntyne and moved to the current location in Baillieston's Main Street in 1984.
The business was owned and run by Ian Struthers, who took over from his father, Jimmy. Ians wife Lesley also worked hard in the shop over the years. Ian's daughter, Lynne Struthers, also joined her dad as a partner in the business and now r...uns the shop although Ian is still very much about and helps out a lot.
Over the years, Chapman's has won many awards including 'Best Steak Pie in Scotland'. It was a great achievement and we are still making our steak pies with the same recipe today.
Also just last year, Chapman’s were voted into the final for Best Butcher Shop of the Year in Scotland!!! Very proud moment .
We take pride in selling a large range of the finest Scotch beef, lamb, pork and to keep up-to-date with our customer's requirements, we have recently introduced popular products like butchers boxes, oven ready meals an a slimmer's range.

Just having my low fat sausages for breakfast they are delicious and the tikka was lovely last night too according to my daughter � will definitely be over for the bigger box on Saturday. Shop is immaculate and so are the staff, presentation of the food and packaging is so well presented. I've been saying I'm coming to this shop for over 3 years lol glad I finally made the move. Will b back on Saturday �

I've had 2 deliveries now from R&J chapmans and I am very impressed. The slimmers boxes are amazing. I follow slimming world and finding this butcher has made it so much easier to follow, doesn't feel like I'm on a diet at all as the food from here is so good. I was sceptical at first when I tasted it because I thought there was no way food this good could be syn free but I still lost weight! Highly recommended, fabulous quality, fresh and fantastic customer service!

I ordered a slimmer 2 box last week and a portion of lasagne to try. Everything has been really nice and great quality. Good value for money. I would definitely order again.

Husband was in charge of dinner tonight, he came into your store and was very well looked after as he had the added challenge of making something slimming world friendly. Had an amazing steak pie on new years day. I'm not a huge red meat fan but this is the only steak pie I will eat as it is the best. I've been going into Chapman's since I was days old in a pram with my grandparents and always had excellent service. Even when your mum forgets to order your steak pie and you go in on new years eve to get one (on the off chance they have a spare one) they go above and beyond to make sure you don't go without one on new years day. � can't say anymore than AMAZING �

Came in today for our first butchers box & can say we are very happy with what we got & for the price, kids had burgers & we had sirloin both finished off was delicious � so looking forward to tomorrow’s nights dinner already � it’s got to be steak pie � we will be returning very soon thank you �

Bought some of the low fat burgers and square sausages yesterday, (im on slimming world) had the burgers for my dinner and the sausages for my breakfast and they were brilliant and not a drop of fat in the pan when cooking them! Impressed, ive ordered a lean protein box for next week can't wait to try it! Just moved to the area and glad I found you!
