Beginner's Guide to Indian Food Naan Do you like fat, fluffy rounds of bread a million times fluffier than the fluffiest piece of pita bread? Then you'll like naan. Everyone likes naan. It's amazing. Dip it into chutneys or some raita or into the sauce for your butter chicken or rogan josh. Do whatever you want with it. It's versatile and meant to be enjoyed throughout your meal.

We had a fabulous meal here at the weekend! Food and service were both amazing and ridiculously reasonable prices (especially given great city centre location). Would definitely recommend.

User

Quick service with genuine warmth and a smile. Fantastic food - the veggie options are sublime. Would absolutely make it a regular place to visit.

User

Probably the best South Indian garlic chilli curry i've ever had, service from the staff and the food was incredible! Made me want to flash in the street at oncoming vehicles

User

Our go-to place for Indian food in town. The food and service is 2nd to none. We love it. Will be returning soon. Thanks for always looking after us x

Not much to say that hasn't already been said. Food is superb. I'm a hungry Horace and my entertainment is eating out , the food is superb ( did I say that already ? ). The place also feeds the homeless , c'mon that's a 5 star on it's own , but just food alone - superb. If you've not been , go. If you have been , maybe bump into you next time I'm there. It's really really good.

My friend and I visited tonight as we were going to the ballet, the smell coming from the door is very inviting as we walked in, we chose the pre theatre. Starter and main for Ā£9.95 menu the starters we picked were samosa and the chicken pakora, both amazing then we both had the korma my friend chose chicken and I chose lamb, the lamb just melted in your mouth and the chicken was the same we paid extra for the rice and Nan bread and they kindly brought an extra nan free. Desert was Melba and it was delicious. Including drinks the bill was Ā£38.00 for two and the amount of accolades on the wall for this restaurant is amazing, highly recommended and will definitely visit again next time I am in Glasgow

User

I have never had a bad meal in here. Food is fantastic, friendly staff who can't do enough to help. Reasonable prices too. Best Indian restaurant in town.

Went without booking a table said we could have 1 for hour and a half which was ample time got popadoms and sauces then got a freebie popadom diff flavour which was lovely had starters then got a free taster of 4 chicken wings made us very happy. Had mains that where lovely only complaint is when I came home looked at menu on line it said we should have had lamb tikka on our mixed grill which was not there. When we paid bill and left realised there was a service charge that we where unaware of when we paid by card and we also left a tip! Will know for future and will defo be back. Service was great

Our pre theatre meal on Saturday was superb. I had chkn pakora with chicken saag as main with the Mrs having veg pakora and chicken chasni. Cant fault it at all. Some of the previous comments re staff are correct, we have had that before. Saturday was fine although we only had the table for an hour. That's common in Charcoals as they look for a good turnover of folk as its small.

Look it is a good Indian Restaurant but they need to learn some manners as rudeness wont encourage folk back. Just be polite and dont hover over tables. Don't get to cocky you need folk to return. It's back on our favourites list after Saturday.

User

First visit here, food and service excellent, fair to say itā€™s the best Indian food Iā€™ve tasted in years. I will definitely be back.

User

Two people, we didnā€™t book but they found us a table anyway which was good customer service. Starter was a big dry but the curry I had as a main course was delicious. The thing which soured the whole meal was the service charge hidden included on the bill. I was going to give a tip worth more than what I was charged but in the end I didnā€™t bother. No other restaurants do this. Itā€™s not like the food was especially cheap either. It turned what wouldā€™ve been a good meal into a bad feeling. I am sad to say I wonā€™t be returning for this reason.

User

Food ok but both our lamb dishes a bit chewy!

Service a bit rushed. Did the job for an early Sat evening curry. I wouldnā€™t rush back though ļæ½

User

Food was lovely , but manager or one of the staff was very rude which I didnā€™t take to well to , Ā£6.99 for a main course and starter canā€™t complain but Ā£5 odd just for popadoms and dips , staff that was serving us was very rude was only one man the rest were totally fine along with food sadly due to service I defientely wonā€™t be returning here

User

Was disappointed with the service, got given a warm can of juice with 2 cubes of ice, they obviously haven't heard of "service with a smile" food came within seconds after ordering, was rushed, and when asked for bill it was pretty much thrown at me.

Won't be back!
