Lots more information about the Christmas Shopping Evening on Friday 29th November! This year we’ve gone with the theme of ‘pampering’ and we’ve teamed up with some of the best of East Lothian’s pampering experts to offer you samples, tasters and, of course, the chance to start your Christmas shopping! Read on to find out exactly what’s going on!
Make up artist Laura Hunter will be offering skincare and makeup advice, and demos, using a variety of products she has personally... tested and knows to work. She will be giving advice on how to best prep your skin for longer lasting makeup as well as lots of application tips. All questions will be welcome! Laura will have a lot of natural, vegan, and chemical free products with her and will be running a special offer; for all products purchased at the event, you’ll get 15% of the total value to spend for free! PM if you’d like to book a specific time (between 6pm - 8:30pm) to test out a look or idea!
Ashley from ‘Petit Beautique’ will be offering Indian head massage tasters for £5 as well as nails - file & polish for £8. Appointments available to book from 6pm to 8:30pm, PM to reserve a slot.
On the night, Body Shop At Home will be offering exclusive discounts and offers with a chance to sample a wide variety of products. You can also place orders with free delivery.
Flur Holistic Therapies will bring along a range of festive Neal’s Yard Christmas Gift Ideas as well as offering complimentary hand massages and a chance to sample lovely Neal’s Yard products. You can also purchase vouchers for treatments, a great Christmas gift!
Lou Lou’s Salon will be showcasing Aveda products on the night, lots of samples and even a chance to win prizes!
As if that isn’t enough, Cherish Emporium will be fully stocked for unique and original Christmas gift ideas from a wide range of local crafters. We will also have lots of yummy treats available for you to take home (including a limited amount of fully iced Christmas cakes!) as well as mulled wine and hot chocolate samples.
Remember this is a village event and many other shops will be open late joining in with freebies and special offers. Members of Gullane & Aberlady Community Chorus will even be on hand singing a selection of popular carols.

We had a spooktacular time this evening at the kids halloween cupcake & biscuit decorating workshop. Amazing costumes and creations from everyone! Still a few spaces on the Christmas workshop, get in touch to book a space!

A date for your diary: The Gullane Christmas Shopping Evening! Lots of shops in the village will be open late with special offers, fizz, nibbles etc.. Cherish will be joining in the fun with mulled wine, hot chocolate and festive nibbles. The Emporium will be fully stocked with lots of Christmas gift ideas and the Tea Room will be transformed into a pampering paradise with stall holders including Neal's Yard, Aveda, and The Body Shop. Emma McKenzie will be sharing expert make-up tips and ideas and you can even get your nails done by Ashley from the Petit Beautique! Another new recipe! A very interesting ‘Coconut & Rose’ spread. We’ve tried it on toast and it’s yummy, would be great on yoghurt or even in a cake! Only a few jars per batch so pop in and get yours!

Cherish are delighted to be attending the first ever Gullane Bowling Club ‘Autumn Fair’. We’ll be taking along lots of yummy bakes for purchase as well as giving away tasty samples and tea room vouchers! Come along and support local crafters, pick up unique gifts and enjoy a tasty treat! Available from tomorrow! We have been busy testing out lots of variations on our (already amazing!) Callebaut hot chocolate. It was tough but somehow we managed! You can now enjoy our 100% Belgian dark chocolate topped with whipped cream, sweet treats and blended with something yummy! Flavours available are; Gingerbread, Salted Caramel, Orange, Mint or Rose. Which one would you go for?

Look who visited the Tea Room today! Beautiful, 20 week old Ruby, it was her first visit to a cafe, she was very inquisitive and very well behaved. We hope to see her again soon!

Today’s cake selection includes this yummy Fig, Orange & Cointreau Cake. Ripe figs poached in Cointreau top a sponge sandwiched together with orange buttercream and fig jam. We can’t wait to try it!
