Fab day at our family day yesterday, lots of fun and Olaf even came along.

Yesterday the sunflower children helped to make a start to our fairy garden. They planted seeds and decided where everything would go and even named the fairy and hedgehog. The sunflower children are in charge of looking after the fairy garden and all knew exactly what to do to look after it 😊 look forward to seeing it in bloom and we can put it outside for the fairies to come to our garden 🧚‍♀️

Yesterday morning fudge came to visit us before his haircut. All the children were happy to see him, shouting on him and asking him to sit. The children got to learn how his lead worked and the importance of wearing one when out a walk.

Sunflower children love their new teepee they requested for their room, reading stories and interacting with one another. Great opportunity to enhance the children’s communication and language skills.

The children were so excited to have found a caterpillar 🐛 in the garden yesterday. It led to a lovely conversation all about what caterpillars eat and then turn into 🦋 Children displayed excellent knowledge.

Another successful parents evening last night. It's always reassuring for the practitioners to hear such amazing feedback to reward their hard work.

Cherry Tree Nursery are looking to expand their bank staff team. The successful candidate will be required to cover lunch and tea breaks, holidays and staff absence. They will assist the practitioners with all aspects of caring for the children in their playrooms in all age groups. Encouraging and helping the children to grow and develop into confident and happy individuals. Must be able to use own initiative but also work as part of a team.
Hours will vary from week to wee...k and will be between the hours of 7.30am and 6.00pm so candidate must be flexible.

The children explored shaving foam in the garden. They transported it to different parts of the garden which then led into them expanding it by using the garden hose to do a car wash.

Here at Cherry Tree we make use of our amazing outdoor space every day as its our belief that there is nothing we do indoors that can't be done outdoors to support children's learning through play.

The children toasted marshmallows on the fire today. They were all really safe as they sat around the camp fire then took their turn to toast their own marshmallow 🔥

The children wanted to splash in puddles today but there wasn’t any in the garden so they had an idea to get the hose and make their own puddles. Lots of jumping up and down in the puddles and most of all having fun 💦
