Wonderful friendly staff who couldn't do enough to make you welcome.

Room large as was the ensuite and the bed was really comfortable.

Sports bar has plenty of TVs and a large screen Bar meal was really good and the Guinness is as good as you can get outside of Ireland.

All in all I had a really great stay and will definitely return.

What a lovely find � super afternoon with drinks and snacks then decided to stay for supper. Unfortunately no table available for 7 however they went out of their way and made one available in the breakfast room. Great service and fantastic food , lovely �

What a brilliant little place to eat. Food was amazing. Staff were great, very helpful. Surroundings very homely and comfortable.

We flew up from Kent In England on Saturday and have been to the Chieftain twice in 2 days . Excellent atmosphere for the football shown on numerous tv's and on the Sunday we returned for a lovely roast dinner .

Toilets were very clean too lol.

The staff at this family run hotel couldn’t have been better.



Having been promised a twin room for my elderly parents elsewhere which didn’t materialise, I needed a twin room for them and a room for me.



The Chieftain came up trumps and, despite knowing I was simply desperate, gave a significant discount on their normal rate, sympathetic to our plight.



I’d left my parents while I searched for alternative accommodation so was keen to get back to them and they would have just accepted my name (I insisted on leaving them my bank card so they’d know I would return).



Good rooms, good food - but most importantly, run by good people.



Pet friendly too!

Stayed here a few times now and got to say the place is so much better than staying at some soulless holiday express or Premier inn! Great service & friendly staff. Will be back for sure! ��� Big thanks to Liz & the team x

Lovely Sunday lunch today. Roast beef with all the trimmings and Belgian waffle with fruits of the forest, ice cream and toffee sauce, mmm. All the better as I didn't have to cook.

Loved it even though the food is on the costly side. It is a hotel after all. The staff is extremly friendly and helpful. A young female really was helpful getting luggage to our room. We initially had WIFI problems but after asking for help that lady again jumped in and resolved the problem. WIFI was great after that. Hotel was clean, free breakfast was just wonderful.

Haven’t actually stayed in the hotel itself YET, but it’s the best and our most favourite place to eat in Inverness! Come here every time we visit Scotland and it never fails to impress. Staff are all lovely especially Liz! Can’t thank them enough for always making us feel so welcome, we will definitely be back� thank you x

Favorite place to rest my head in Inverness!

Fantastic food and very nice clean rooms, lovely pub all in all, if Carlsberg did staff... they would be the team!

Brilliant stay as always have stayed here a fair few times over the years, never been disappointed excellent service, great food, best breakfast around, great atmosphere, friendly, approachable, helpful staff who will do anything for you and do anything to help you. Honestly best value for money highly recommend.

Always great time we are here. Liz is a lovely lady and her staff are always friendly and polite. The bar is great for watching sport, plenty pool tables as well, good restaurant, never had bad food yet and have organised several events in there and always had a great time. Have no problems recommending the chieftain to anyone, oh aye, and if you get the chance, join in on their quiz nights, best laugh in ages

Staff were helpful n friendly..

Unfortunately 9n this occasion food was poor..my partner was served cheap frozen pkt scampi...I had tge Highland chicken...over cooked, dry and hard cld only eat just over half..forgot when ordering to ask for potatoes..wasn't asked potatoes or chips on ordering came with over cooked, crispy, greasy chips..very disappointing as eaten here previously and it was better.

Over priced room.dusty.no curtains/blind on bathroom window.no remote for tv. Evening meal very standard. Through out the night each round of drink was charged at diffrent price even though it was the same drinks..wont be back.
