Hello, My name is Joanne. Welcome to my facebook page.
I am a qualified, experienced and registered childminder working in from home in Troon.

I am a registered childminder working in Troon, Ayrshire. I originally began childminding in January 2004.

I continue to undertake regular courses to enhance my professional development and have numerous courses planned to attend in 2014. I have recently completed training in Food Safety and Hygiene so that I can provide cooked meals safely for the children.

I can provide references from families who I currently work for, all of whom have been with me for at least six months.

I have two children of my own; an twelve year old boy and an ten year old girl. I am able to do school and nursery pickups from St Patricks Primary School, Troon Primary and Barassie Primary, as well as local nurseries.

I have lots of experience with young children having worked within a nursery previously and helped out within my own children's primary school and nursery.

I have a completed enhanced CRB check.

My children and I live in a 3-bedroom semi detatched house with plenty of room for toys, games and craft activities. There is an enclosed garden with a trampoline, sand pit and outdoor toys for summer fun. We also have a lovely friendly dog, Topsy.

I have a cot bed, should a child need to sleep during the day as needed.

There is a park five minutes walk away and a larger one a short drive on the beach front. The beach is an eight minute walk. During the holidays I take the children out for fun day trips. I offer a full programme of activities during term time such as toddler groups, library visits, visits to the park, and the children also spend lots of time in my home doing themed activities. Children are cared for following the EYFS guidelines.

Care Commission:

I am regularly inspected by the Care Commission. During visits, the inspector spends time with me, whilst the children are in my care. She then observes and reports what she finds. I was awarded a VERY GOOD grade overall due to providing very good care to the children and very good in working in partnership with parents.

I have an 'open door' policy and always make time to speak to parents.
