Rather than leaving the Highlands upon graduating from high school in search of work opportunities like so many of his classmates, Finlay Macdonald followed his passion for his Highland home as well as his dream of owning an artisanal chocolate company. He founded Chocolates of Glenshiel in 2016 and the rest is history. Now, based on the banks of Loch Duich, Finlay's wee team are hard at work meticulously handcrafting their chocolates. The beautiful landscape surrounding the chocolate kitchen provides endless inspiration to Finlay and his chocolatiers as they strive to produce a true Taste of the Highlands. Chocolates of Glenshiel is proud to work with Scotland's amazing variety of suppliers. All ingredients are sourced in Scotland - the more local the better. Sustainability is a top priority at Chocolates of Glenshiel. All cocoa is produced ethically and responsibly, ingredients are sourced in Scotland only - keeping transport at a minimum and all packaging is 100% plastic free and fully recyclable.
