FAIRTRADE FORTNIGHT 2017
West Lothian Fairtrade Zone Steering Group is reminding local people about Fairtrade Fortnight and asking everyone to help by choosing products which support the drive for change for farmers in developing countries. During Fairtrade Fortnight the West Lothian Fairtrade Zone Steering Groups is asking local people to support a fair living for the farmers and people who produce the tea, coffee, cocoa, sugar, fruit and a wide range of other products we al...l use on a daily basis. West Lothian’s Fairtrade Day is on Monday 27 February and will kick off Fairtrade Fortnight which runs until Sunday 12 March. West Lothian’s Fairtrade town and village groups, including here in Bathgate, are all joining forces with the rest of the country to help ensure a fair deal for disadvantaged farming communities by holding a number of events across the county. BATHGATE MARKET!
Bathgate Market first opened in 1974 on Fridays, then in 1995 the Saturday Market opened, and then later on Wednesdays in 1998. It has continued 52 weeks throughout the year ever since.
If you're an avid bargain hunter then come down today, Saturday or Wednesdays, and see what gems you can uncover! There's a mix of pitches and car boots.
... The market takes place Wednesday 10am - 3pm and on Fri & Sat 10am - 4pm.

INFO | REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY PARADE
The Royal British Legion are organising tomorrow's Remembrance Sunday Parade. It will start at 12.45pm, and will assemble outside 50 North Bridge Street (the Legion building). From there, it will move off and proceed via North Bridge Street, Hopetoun Street and Mid Street to the War Memorial; where it will disperse for a Church Service.
Following the service, the parade will re-assemble in Mid Street - next to the War Memorial - and will then... proceed via Mid Street, Academy Street, King Street, George Place and South Bridge Street to North Bridge Street; where it will disperse.
