So over the years, I seemed to have picked up a few skills and more importantly, amassed the specialist tools to do a large amount of bike mechanical work. I've been told on numerous occasions to start spreading the word so here is my page!
I'm a hugely passionate cyclist myself and working on bikes is as much a hobby as anything else. The charges at bike shops are often ridiculous so I figured, why not help others out for much less
As standard, I completely strip a bike down to the frame. . . degrease, re-grease and clean everything. Building it back up, I check every component /bolt and service where required. You get back your bike in as good shape as it can be
If parts need to be replaced, I do the online searches myself and find the best prices /options available depending on your budget. Of course new parts will then be fitted for you
Various jobs include:
- Front and rear derailleur installation /setup
- Bottom bracket /headset removal /installation
- Rear hub cassette /pawls maintenance /replacements
- Grinding wheels (trials rim brakes)
- Removal of tabs /brackets /bosses pre powdercoating
- SRAM /avid /shimano /hope full rebleeds and brake servicing
- Invisiframing
- Cable /hose shortening and replacement
- Various other customisations
