Now that the 2018 ball is over, and all of our decor and events aren’t a secret any more, we can share some more BTS photos with everyone! We hope you enjoy - and stay tuned for more photos from the actual night too #CCMB18 #ANightsTale

As much as we loved hosting this year’s Ball last night, the committee has an unfortunate announcement to make. During the ball, both of the swords our decorative suits of armour were carrying were stolen. One was later recovered, but the other is still missing. These were props that were hired from an external company, so the ball stands to be liable for significant charges if the sword is not returned.
The entire committee is greatly saddened that someone has chosen to take... from us, and we welcome any information people may have about its possible whereabouts, or those that took it. All we want is for it to be returned, no questions asked, in order for the finances of future balls to not take a large hit.
We hope that all of our guests had a lovely time regardless of the unfortunate actions of some of them.

*May Ball ticket & queue*
We have sufficiently low numbers of uncollected tickets such that we can just hand these out in the queue. If you just mention it to the person that comes along to process your ticket (and give wristband) we can give it to you at the same time as processing you.
Dining guests please arrive at 6PM as dinner commences at 6.30. Queue jump and standard ticket guests, you may start queuing from 7.45 PM onwards. Queue jump guests will queue from main gate... along Hobson street; standard guests from main gate along Christ’s Lane (between college and Christ’s Piece).
Please come along to the ball with your photo ID.

Ticket collection is happening today! We will be running two sessions, held at Christ’s College, for you to collect physical tickets before the ball. These are as follows: - Sunday 17th June, 2-5 pm - Monday 18th June, 12-4 pm Sessions will be held in the Christ’s buttery. ... Possession of this physical ticket, along with ID matching the name on the ticket, will be required to gain entry on the night.

The Ball is very excited to welcome Cambridge Shisha.
Recently, Cambridge Shisha has opened a Shisha Lounge at Revolution Roof Top Terrace every Sunday, Wednesday and Friday, from early evenings until late. With Cambridge Shisha Hire.

As we draw ever closer to Christ’s May Ball 2018 we have some information about collecting your ticket.
We will be running two sessions, held at Christ’s College, for you to collect physical tickets before the ball. These are as follows: - Sunday 17th June, 2-5 pm - Monday 18th June, 12-4 pm... Sessions will be held at the buttery, this is located at the back right of First Court.
Possession of this physical ticket, along with ID matching the name on the ticket, will be required to gain entry on the night.

Further to some enquiries we've had about ticket collection times, we just want to assure everyone that no updates have been missed. The committee are currently finalising collection details, and we will be heavily publicising them as soon as we have finalised them.

*** Second Headliner Announcement ***
Christ’s May Ball Committee 2018 are very excited to announce our second headliner: HONNE.
HONNE are an electronic music duo who formed in 2014 in London, and released their first two EPs, ‘Warm on a Cold Night’ and ‘All in the Value.’ They are set to release new music in the form of their second album, ‘Love Me / Love Me Not’ this August.
... Over the past year, the duo have been on the festival circuit, performing at Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Wanderland, amongst others. They have also previously played Big Weekend and The Great Escape.

This hella wondrous night filled with surprises here there everywhere - passionfruit vodka, a selection of gins with berries, mo-tea-to from tipsy tea, pan fried momo dumplings, churros with Nutella/caramel/jam, oysters/bumper cars/swings you don’t need to queue hours for, dragon, swords and acrobats...

There was a dragon which breathed fire... how can you not like that?

Really well laid out, with a nice variety of food, drink, and entertainment options. The decorations were also very well done. By far the best May Week event I've attended in my time here!

Everything was perfect. The music choice was varied but amazing for all, the food and drink was brilliant and had no shortage and the events through out the night were very entertaining. The art work displayed was interesting and beautiful.

Everything seemed to go really smoothly, the food choice was excellent and the entertainment on point. All the decorations looked fantastic and the overall atmosphere was great!

Beautifully thought out and planned to a T, visually spectacular, spoiled for choice with food and drink, plenty of really fun ents, LIVE BIRDS OF PREY still am not over that, literally everything you want from a may ball. Unforgettable night in so many ways.
