Cineworld Cinema - Edinburgh

Great screens, massive selection of films to choose from. Cineworld IMAX is amazing.

Used to love this place until the change to designated seating. Also popular films come and go way to quickly.

best cinema in the city by far because it has IMAX unlike VUE came here for wonder woman and spider-man homecoming in IMAX and they were both great cinema experiences highly recommended it.

Hi. Made online booking for Simran at Cineworld Edinburgh. Money has been away from my bank but no booking made. Enquired on phone (paid lines) and was told some issue with bank and payment could not go through .... and money will be refunded in 3 to 5 days???? How if money not gone through by Cineworld then how can they refund.. .. but money from my bank paid... so to watch movie I have bern advised to spend another £24.87/- and same amount already held.... too much trouble and inconvenience... ???

Once again for some unknown reason cineworld decided to show the movie on the smallest size of screen - why have a big screen facility and show the film really small??. Folks sitting to the side have to twist to see properly (bad for the neck) films are made to be viewed as big as possible not 1970 size. I coped with Detroit in tiny mode but it totally ruined the effect for Dunkirk plus its a bit of a cheat.

If you want a mind blowing experience , go to the IMAX screen at Cineworld. The new Guardians of the Galaxy vol 2 film looks fantastic. The 3D effect adds a lot to the whole experience

I have only ever been to the IMAX here and its been a love hate relationship. I'm a massive IMAX fan and keep going because it is a better experience overall but this cinema doesn't seem to treat it with a lot of respect. I've had more good experiences with Doctor Strange and Kong: Skull Island but there are seats you have to avoid due to safety lights shining down and ruining the experience and sometimes they can have it out of focus. Most recently one of the projectors cut out losing the 3D during guardians 2 but it came back on in 4 minutes and it was 3D again. (We received a full refund) this shows that they do have great customer service and they have taken my advice on board to make it better.

Basically the IMAX is worth it as its leaps and bounds better quality. If you sit in the middle rows in seats 20 - 15 as you'll avoid the safety lights and have a really great experience.

Spacious and comfortable. Short queues to buy tickets. Was undergoing maintenance during my visit but this did not inconvenience us.

It's a typical large Cineworld. Well run and staffed. More than 10 screens so plentiful choices at all points of day as long as you looking for general release rather than "art house" films.
