We had our wedding here on Saturday and it was just exceptional! The staff were so attentive and the whole day just ran so smoothly! Louize was on top of everything the run up to the day and during! Simon was a perfect master of ceremonies and took care of us amazingly! I would urge all bride and grooms to be to consider citation for a fabulous city centre venue, it was just perfect!!

I won the Halloween comp on Facebook, �� we booked in for tonight. Well what can we say. The minute we walked in we were shown to our seats, then the glass of bubbly arrived. (Lovley touch) we had a 3 course feast, the food was so good. The presentation was 100%. The staff also very attetentiv, and friendly. Thank you for a lovley night. Xx

I used a 5pm voucher yesterday for 2 courses for 2 and a bottle of prosecco, it was amazing value at £25! The food was lovely as was the prosecco. Service was good, especially from the young waiter with the curly hair. Unfortunately didn't get his name but he was friendly and made us feel at home :-) A great experience and I will return!

Housed in a striking building this social meeting place is at once airy and cosy due to clever furnishings. The menu is just that little bit above average to feel special without being too formal. I had a lovely confit duck terrine with oatcakes to start and lobster mac and cheese for main, it was stunning. The staff were attentive and friendly, took lots of photos for us. We mentioned there had been quite a delay between starter and main( we werent in a rush but just worried they had forgotton) The manager explained the chef wasnt happy with the outcome of the dish and had re-done it. We were given complimentary drinks by way of apology. Hats off to the chef for taking a pride in his dishes and a manager who wishes to appease his guests �

Friendly attentive staff and a fabulous menu we had the chateaubriand absolutely fantastic I would recommend it to anyone they also have a very extensive list of Whiskies & Rums and an even bigger range of Gins.

Visited here on 4th May 2018 and I thoroughly enjoyed the food, it was divine and very well presented! Service was great too. Me and my friend enjoyed the meal, atmosphere, service that we received although as we were getting our jackets on I had put my bag on the table to organise ourselves, during this minute or two my handbag went on fire due to the candle burning on the table. Rest assured my fireman skills came into play and I flapped that bag until it went out! I informed barman what had occurred and apologising for burnt smell but both himself and rest of staff were oblivious of the fire and said nothing except shall I put your bag in the bin? I politely accepted his offer then left. So I would like to apologise again for any bad smell due to my handbag going up in flames and also to thank you for a gorgeous meal! �

Unfortunately we had to ask why our order was taking so long as it wasn’t particularly busy. Possibly understaffed yesterday but, once the food came Fantastic! Well cooked, decent size portions, well presented, well worth the wait, almost! Not on the menu but did me a Calzone Pizza, superb. Definitely will return.

My husband and I eat out regularly and we received a voucher for this restaurant as a gift, and on arrival we were not disappointed. This place is lovely with a large lounge bar downstairs and restaurant upstairs. I would have given it a 5 star just for that but after being shown to our seat and told someone would be with us shortly, we had a 25 minute wait, I eventually asked could we place an order. The order was taken straight away and from then on we loved it. The food was lovely, the wine list is fabulous and we will definitely be back, my advice would be don’t sit too long waiting for service, just ask because the staff are very nice.

While i might have been using an itison voucher for a 2 course meal for 2 and a bottle of prosecco last nite, the meal was just lovely but your service was appalling. Nobody came near us after we had our food. I would have liked to have been offered the desert menu never mind any more drink or coffee. We walked out. Very disappointing.

Was there on 28 mar 2018 enjoyed the meal I had but as there is only one option for vegetarians no matter which menu wouldn't be tempted to return as don't like to be limited to same meal when I go out which is quite often. Also. The chef doesn't seem to know Parmesan is not vegetarian as it was on the only vegetarian meal. 'risotto " which was marked with a "v". Shame.

Ordered dessert but they had ran out of ingredients so ordered different dessert which came minus the shortbread as shown on menu.

Waiting staff need to learn people skills absolutely zero interaction with customer dinner plonked in table and off they went. Wasn’t asked if we needed anything else or if everything was ok

Bn here many times but this time so disappointed. Service was poor and slow. Food wasn’t great either. Disappointed and certainly wont be back

Been a number of times before ; but felt something was missing last night. Service was ok but had to ask twice for water for the table and cutlery. Jackets not taken and once again ( this has happened to us before here) the bill was incorrect. The deal we had was 2 course plus a cocktail each but the first bill charged us for the cocktails. When pointed out it was rectified quickly- but couldn't help overhearing a similar bill related issue at the table next to us. Food was average last night and felt a little thrown at us. We do like citation but just not sure we will be back. Something isn't working as well as it use to here.

Was there for 5pm deal Food was good but portions to small was left feeling hungry.Servuce left a lot to be desired had to ask 3 times to get extra drinks also asked for horseradish sauce to go with Roast Beef waitress forgot had to ask twice by which time had finished main course asked for bill it was given to another table who brought if over after waiting 10 minutes . I felt like we didn’t matter because we were on a deal but 90% of the buisness that day was vouchers so don’t know how they felt very dissapointing for a nice place won’t be back!

Too noisy, food mediocre (to say the least) , partner ordered lobster mac and cheese, the lobster clearly went missing, service poor , all in all a bad experience . Will not be back.

Food seriously needs work. My bfs starter dripping in oil and the aubergine tasted of nothing. My veggie main cauliflower mac n cheese - 4 bits of cauliflower dry pasta sprinkling of cheese and under grill. Dry and tasteless. Thankfully when complained they didnt charge us for it. Despite the reasonable prices need to up your game guys

Got a voucher for Christmas for a 2 course meal didn’t state if it was starter and main or main and desert when got the menu to us we got told anything with fp we could order so we didn’t see anything for main course so decided then to get starter and desert then to be told by waiter it only for starter and main even tho it didn’t state that on the voucher . Didn’t offer to take our coats even tho the waiters were taking everyone else’s coats and hanging them up when the meal came didn’t get offered and sauces tho every other table did then asked at the end if we owed anything no one came back to us so we ended up leaving . Very poor wouldn’t recommend

Was here yesterday to join a group of friends for lunch. Before we arrived, a Waitress told the group 3 times they couldn't sit on the balcony unless they were eating. 3 times she was told they would be eating once all the group arrived. The same waitress then told a member of the group he couldn't stand and look over the balcony. We joined the group later but their were no avalible seats to sit down. The same waitress came out for a 5th time to say we couldnt stand with the group we were with. Luckily someone 2 tables down got up to leave and offered us a table. The waitress then came out for a 6th time to say we couldn't sit outside if we weren't eating, so we had to sit inside on our own, away from the group we had gone there to meet. The table outside sat empty until we left. Plenty other places to eat in the city centre with a much friendlier and more welcoming atmosphere, so won't be back.
