We rent a flat in Frederick Street for the festive season and on New Year's Day our family and friends went for a walk along Princes Street and on our return we noticed a young girl who was obviously distressed - we passed her but we decided to go back to make sure she was okay...just want to give credit to one of your taxi drivers who was sitting in the taxi rank who jumped out his taxi and helped this young girl by allowing her to use his phone to call a friend. Thanks also to the other taxi driver who took her where she needed to go. In a busy world it is lovely to witness people who care ��

Never have a problem with citycabs, used them on several occasions and at busy times throughout the year, professional service, always friendly and very helpful! Would recommend them in a heartbeat, had bad experiences with different taxi companies before and wouldnt use anywhere else now!

I pre-booked City Cab for a transfer to Edinburgh Airport from a downtown hotel. I called them a couple of hours before my transfer for confirmation and I was confirmed in their books. They sent me a text link to track my cab. Our driver arrived promptly to the hotel and he was a very nice man and very professional. Unfortunately, half way to the airport he got a flat tire. You just cant plan for those! Our driver was awesome. He tried to flag a cab and then called his dispatch and got us another city cab, with this second driver being very professional and personable as well. We were very pleased with this service and I highly recommend City Cabs. We made it to the airport in plenty of time for our flight.

I cannot express my gratitude enough but a massive thank you to one of your drivers Robert for seriously going out of his way to return me my mobile phone that I forgot in his cab on Friday.

I want to pass on a massive thanks to my taxi driver Patricia who took me from home to the royal infirmary to spend another day with my newborn son.

Unfortunately in the euphoric moment I left my car keys in her cab. She didn't have to but did. She turned back some time later and remembered all I had told her in the cab. My name and the name of my baby and what ward he was in. She returned them to the reception and passed on all the information to the lass on the desk. What a Gem! Not overly sure of her surname but saved me a hell of start to the day. Thank you Patricia!

Last night was a busy rugby Saturday, George st was closed, control helped search for the nearest convenient pick up point (for 26 people!!), taxis arrived exactly when needed, and waited til we walked along closed George st! A million people trying to get in our pre booked taxis, but we got them no probs! Same fab service on the way to the destination too! Made organising a hen night on one of the busiest nights of the year a lot easier!

Can we say thank you so much to the wonderful driver who delivered my friends handbag to the hotel we are staying at this weekend! Not only did it have two passports in it, it also had two purses in it that would’ve been lost ...... disaster for a girls weekend away ..... thank you so much! We will raise a glass to you at Grass Markets tonight and remember you when we get our thistle tattoo’s �� xxx

‪I think it's absolutely appalling that I have just had to pay £2.50 via your app due to the following incident:



Two of your drivers cancelled on me at 3am via the app within 10 minutes, without a notification, then trying to cancel your 3rd driver on the app on 3 occasions which confirmed I had, I got a call when I got home 15 minutes later saying he'd arrived. I explain the situation, to both your driver and phone receptionist, and how I had (again) tried to cancel on the app: 3 times and call your service (unavailable at the time) and get told it's what your driver is entitled to, and that the other drivers had to go home as "it was late."



Sorry, poor service. And your call service was appalling. As a DJ who does drag and has used your app consistently I'll be taking my business elsewhere from now on. And after telling your call service this, I was told have a nice evening.

Today at 1pm we booked a taxi for 18:15. It is for 5 adults which one is a wheelchair user. We were told it was possible that the taxi would be early. We called at 18:15 to make sure it was on it’s way. We were told by an operator that they couldn’t secure a suitable taxi. This was unacceptable, we are travelling with 3 vulnerable adults and the company had been given over 5 hours notice.

A taxi turned up 35 mins late and didn’t know it was for a wheelchair user.

A complete shambles. We have a prepaid dinner to get to that you will be billed for if we miss it.

On Friday night on 26th January we booked a taxi for 6.45pm from Time Twisters Play Centre at 2B Bankhead Drive in Edinburgh but it never arrived.

After waiting for some time we phoned the office and were told that the driver could not find Time Twisters and was waiting for us on another street. We also talked to the taxi driver and tried to explain where we were and that he was waiting on the wrong street with a similar name, the driver told us he was going to find us. We kept waiting but after some time we phoned the office again only to be informed that the driver had left without even letting us know. A lady from the office booked another taxi for us and the second taxi driver found us without any problems.



We booked a taxi to return quickly and safely home but it took myself and two kids waiting for 45 minutes in cold and dark on the street (the Play Centre was already closing so we couldn't wait inside), it was a very bad experience.



It is hard to believe that the first City Cabs taxi driver could not find such a big and popular place like Time Twisters Play Centre, especially with name of the place, full address and postcode given.

It is even harder to believe that the first taxi driver left us waiting on the street, knowing that he is not coming to pick us up and he did not even let us know about it!



It was second time we have been let down by City Cabs and we wouldn't use this company again.

Last night I called city cabs at 5pm to book a taxi for 6:50pm - I was heading down to my venue for my engagement party to set up however there was no sign of the taxi - when I called, Abbie told me she couldn’t get me a taxi and there was nothing in my area, we are now at 7:10 and my dad had to drive us down. Had to set up my venue as people were arriving. Not what I wanted. Not the first time I have been let down by City Cabs! Won’t be using this company again - so unreliable!!!!!

It was a pleasant ride until the end when it came time to pay. The meter stopped at 10.75 and then added what I assumed was a mandatory tip which is fine I was going to give more of a tip anyways but I have the driver my 20lbs and he only returned 3lbs back which I think is really rude to take your own tip. I called a cab because I wanted a nice fast trip to my hotel and I should have taken a bus. Trust me this cab service will NEVER get my service again on my travels.

I've just seen some appalling service from one of your drivers. He was meant to be picking up a fare from St Serfs but the taxi was 20 minutes late. When the lady pointed out to him - very politely - that she'd been waiting a while, he became very aggressive. His attitude was terrible and then he drove away, leaving two ladies, one of them with dementia and in a wheelchair, without a taxi in the pouring rain. Absolutely shocking service, he shouldn't be working with the public.

I had a Christmas night out with friends arranged for Saturday 16th. Knowing it was going to be extremely busy in the city centre, I booked a taxi to take us home using your app earlier in the week. My friend and I were at the pickup point at the correct time, however no cab appeared. I was unable to track it on the app. After a few minutes, I telephoned their offices to find that no cab had been allocated to my booking. I would add that the girl in the office was very helpful and apologetic and stayed on the line until a cab arrived for us (15 minutes later).

I am extremely concerned that our booking was not honoured at the time, and am very fortunate that I was with a friend and not a lone female left standing in the street in the early hours. Up till now I have always placed my faith in black cabs and shunned the private car companies, however my other friends who booked their cab through a private car firm had a much more efficient and safe experience than I did . I subequently emailed them to complain on SUnday 17th and have had no response. Complete disregard for customer service. I usually pre-book a City cab to take us home on Christmas day from my in-laws, I will be driving this year rather than be stood up again.

Got a taxi today where my fare should have been £9-£11 and ended up being close to £20 the driver took me the longest way possible driving in to all the traffic and when I phoned the office to complain his reply was the taxi driver can drive whatever route they want!! Didn't expect this especially from black cabs my trust in this company is gone

I've just seen some appalling service from one of your drivers. He was meant to be picking up a fare from St Serfs but the taxi was 20 minutes late. When the lady pointed out to him - very politely - that she'd been waiting a while, he became very aggressive. His attitude was terrible and then he drove away, leaving two ladies, one of them with dementia and in a wheelchair, without a taxi in the pouring rain. Absolutely shocking service, he shouldn't be working with the public.

I had a Christmas night out with friends arranged for Saturday 16th. Knowing it was going to be extremely busy in the city centre, I booked a taxi to take us home using your app earlier in the week. My friend and I were at the pickup point at the correct time, however no cab appeared. I was unable to track it on the app. After a few minutes, I telephoned their offices to find that no cab had been allocated to my booking. I would add that the girl in the office was very helpful and apologetic and stayed on the line until a cab arrived for us (15 minutes later).

I am extremely concerned that our booking was not honoured at the time, and am very fortunate that I was with a friend and not a lone female left standing in the street in the early hours. Up till now I have always placed my faith in black cabs and shunned the private car companies, however my other friends who booked their cab through a private car firm had a much more efficient and safe experience than I did . I subequently emailed them to complain on SUnday 17th and have had no response. Complete disregard for customer service. I usually pre-book a City cab to take us home on Christmas day from my in-laws, I will be driving this year rather than be stood up again.

Got a taxi today where my fare should have been £9-£11 and ended up being close to £20 the driver took me the longest way possible driving in to all the traffic and when I phoned the office to complain his reply was the taxi driver can drive whatever route they want!! Didn't expect this especially from black cabs my trust in this company is gone

We rent a flat in Frederick Street for the festive season and on New Year's Day our family and friends went for a walk along Princes Street and on our return we noticed a young girl who was obviously distressed - we passed her but we decided to go back to make sure she was okay...just want to give credit to one of your taxi drivers who was sitting in the taxi rank who jumped out his taxi and helped this young girl by allowing her to use his phone to call a friend. Thanks also to the other taxi driver who took her where she needed to go. In a busy world it is lovely to witness people who care ��

Use city cabs all the time and could never fault them. I will never use another taxi service again, always feel safe when using city cabs, very professional and all the taxi drivers I have had are very friendly and helpful

I pre-booked City Cab for a transfer to Edinburgh Airport from a downtown hotel. I called them a couple of hours before my transfer for confirmation and I was confirmed in their books. They sent me a text link to track my cab. Our driver arrived promptly to the hotel and he was a very nice man and very professional. Unfortunately, half way to the airport he got a flat tire. You just cant plan for those! Our driver was awesome. He tried to flag a cab and then called his dispatch and got us another city cab, with this second driver being very professional and personable as well. We were very pleased with this service and I highly recommend City Cabs. We made it to the airport in plenty of time for our flight.

I want to pass on a massive thanks to my taxi driver Patricia who took me from home to the royal infirmary to spend another day with my newborn son.

Unfortunately in the euphoric moment I left my car keys in her cab. She didn't have to but did. She turned back some time later and remembered all I had told her in the cab. My name and the name of my baby and what ward he was in. She returned them to the reception and passed on all the information to the lass on the desk. What a Gem! Not overly sure of her surname but saved me a hell of start to the day. Thank you Patricia!

Fab service as always! Last night was a busy rugby Saturday, George st was closed, control helped search for the nearest convenient pick up point (for 26 people!!), taxis arrived exactly when needed, and waited til we walked along closed George st! A million people trying to get in our pre booked taxis, but we got them no probs! Same fab service on the way to the destination too! Made organising a hen night on one of the busiest nights of the year a lot easier!

Not only did it have two passports in it, it also had two purses in it that would’ve been lost ...... disaster for a girls weekend away ..... thank you so much! ‪I think it's absolutely appalling that I have just had to pay £2.50 via your app due to the following incident:



Two of your drivers cancelled on me at 3am via the app within 10 minutes, without a notification, then trying to cancel your 3rd driver on the app on 3 occasions which confirmed I had, I got a call when I got home 15 minutes later saying he'd arrived. I explain the situation, to both your driver and phone receptionist, and how I had (again) tried to cancel on the app: 3 times and call your service (unavailable at the time) and get told it's what your driver is entitled to, and that the other drivers had to go home as "it was late."



Sorry, poor service. And your call service was appalling. As a DJ who does drag and has used your app consistently I'll be taking my business elsewhere from now on. And after telling your call service this, I was told have a nice evening.

Today at 1pm we booked a taxi for 18:15. It is for 5 adults which one is a wheelchair user. We were told it was possible that the taxi would be early. We called at 18:15 to make sure it was on it’s way. We were told by an operator that they couldn’t secure a suitable taxi. This was unacceptable, we are travelling with 3 vulnerable adults and the company had been given over 5 hours notice.

A taxi turned up 35 mins late and didn’t know it was for a wheelchair user.

A complete shambles. We have a prepaid dinner to get to that you will be billed for if we miss it.

On Friday night on 26th January we booked a taxi for 6.45pm from Time Twisters Play Centre at 2B Bankhead Drive in Edinburgh but it never arrived.

After waiting for some time we phoned the office and were told that the driver could not find Time Twisters and was waiting for us on another street. We also talked to the taxi driver and tried to explain where we were and that he was waiting on the wrong street with a similar name, the driver told us he was going to find us. We kept waiting but after some time we phoned the office again only to be informed that the driver had left without even letting us know. A lady from the office booked another taxi for us and the second taxi driver found us without any problems.



We booked a taxi to return quickly and safely home but it took myself and two kids waiting for 45 minutes in cold and dark on the street (the Play Centre was already closing so we couldn't wait inside), it was a very bad experience.



It is hard to believe that the first City Cabs taxi driver could not find such a big and popular place like Time Twisters Play Centre, especially with name of the place, full address and postcode given.

It is even harder to believe that the first taxi driver left us waiting on the street, knowing that he is not coming to pick us up and he did not even let us know about it!



It was second time we have been let down by City Cabs and we wouldn't use this company again.

Last night I called city cabs at 5pm to book a taxi for 6:50pm - I was heading down to my venue for my engagement party to set up however there was no sign of the taxi - when I called, Abbie told me she couldn’t get me a taxi and there was nothing in my area, we are now at 7:10 and my dad had to drive us down. Had to set up my venue as people were arriving. Not what I wanted. Not the first time I have been let down by City Cabs! Won’t be using this company again - so unreliable!!!!!

It was a pleasant ride until the end when it came time to pay. The meter stopped at 10.75 and then added what I assumed was a mandatory tip which is fine I was going to give more of a tip anyways but I have the driver my 20lbs and he only returned 3lbs back which I think is really rude to take your own tip.
