A fond farewell to 'Monkey' Kelbie. He used to make life very... interesting for the guides with his unpredictable appearances. He'll be missed.

User

It's been blowing a hooley today but all our tours are running. Our flag sign would end up in the North Sea if we had it out but our meeting point is the same place. Look out for the tree by the road side wall of St Giles Cathedral on the Royal Mile (if it is still there!) And our black cladded guide (again if they haven't been blown away!)

User

Our own J A Henderson gets a glowing endorsement from 'My Big Fat Diary' star Sharon Rooney...

User

That's what an endorsement from our very own Jan Henderson gets you. A prime spot in the bargain bin.

User

Just ICYMI! We've just published our first book! "Book of the Dead" is a Horror Anthology by new and established writers from around the world. Here's a bit more info including how to get your copy! https://www.cityofthedeadtours.com/scotti sh-ghost-tour-com…/

User

Here's the awesome Sharon Rooney on Channel 4's 'Sunday Brunch'. We should fire our PR guy and give her the job instead. Wait. I'm the PR guy.

on New Years day I went on the graveyard tour for the second time as I loved it so much the first time I went a few months ago, nothing had happened when in the covenanters prison section the first time but i loved the stories and humour along the way, the second time however a distinct male voice whispered in my ear whilst in the tomb where the activity happens, I ran out screaming as I didn't expect it, I decided to go back in and it happened again after about a minute! Was very freaked out but what an experience and the tour guide was fantastic as they were the first time I went! Highly Recommend!

User

We did the vault tour with Jamie, was great! The way he honestly cares about the history of the place is amazing. And what was even cooler is that after the tour ended and most people had left, he took us and two others back in to the vault to tell another story.

I would recommend anyone to go, especially

If you see Jamie is guiding the tour! Nothing paranormal happened but the vibe in there and knowing the terrible way people used to

Try and live downthere can only make you feel a bit uneasy and have sympathy for the souls down there...

User

We did the tour with Dave today! He was great and I loved the stories and the history. It was funny and scary as hell. He was referring to the psychological reaktions and I recommend doing the 8.30 pm tour because of the atmosphere whilst the tour and after on the way back. I also recommend to compare the noise in the first two vaults to the last one. ... it's eerily quiet in there and darker as well. If you look at the gaps in the walls something may look back.

User

We did the double tour, it was great! Definitely something that everyone should try once!

User

We did the 9pm Double Dead Tour with Gerry (with a G not a J!) and we absolutely loved it!

The stories and information were super interesting, however, Gerry managed to maintain a creepy atmosphere while at the same time to throw in some jokes to not make it too dark and creepy. It was just perfect and I would do it again anytime!

User

We did the 3:30pm your to the vaults and I must say, what a incredible tour! The tour guide(Jaime) was absolutely phenomenal! His sense of humor really made for some good moments! While being able to be witty and hilarious he had a lot of knowledge about the vaults!

Highly recommend this tour!

User

We did Double Dead with Gerry on our very first day in Scotland and it was one of my best experiences during all my travels so far! As I had a glimpse of these tours through YouTube, meeting Gerry was very much like meeting a celebrity I was mesmerized by all the history (facts!) and the way it was told - pure pleasure watching this guy do his job! Hopefully I will go back to Edinburgh very soon and take his tour again I’ve just now crossed one thing out off my bucket list! Thank you Gerry!

User

The tour was terrific! Even though there were only 7 people total on our tour, Gerry did a great job setting the mood and allowing everyone to get really into the experience rather than just approaching it as another tour. Would strongly recommend the tour and the guide!

User

Thank you for the experience of a life time. You haven't seen Edinburgh until you've seen it with this crew.

Since I tend to be horrible at following through on going back and writing reviews, I just wanted to write a quick review and say that we absolutely loved tonight's Haunted Graveyard Tour! David was an awesome, funny, and engaging guide who knows his stuff, and we had a great time. Highly recommend!!

User

Really enjoyed this tour last night. David was great - really spooky and amusing. It was great to hear the history too. Couldn’t recommend this more! Thanks guys!

User

My friend and I did the Graveyard Tour with Gerry and it was fantastic! Such in-depth history, laughs and infectious passion from Gerry made this one of the best tours we’ve ever been on! Will definitely be recommending to family and friends!

User

I went on the city of the dead tour. Our tour guide was Gerry. It’s was really interesting and informative and I learnt a lot that I didn’t know. Gerry was really great, entertaining and energetic which really made the tour even better! Would definitely do this again!

User

Gerry (with a G) is a blast! Really enjoyed the tour with his guidance, very fun and informative. Loved his enthusiasm and he obviously enjoys his job. Would love to do another tour with him again! Thank you!

User

Excellent tour, very spooky, very insightful! Double dead tour with Fred, his storytelling kept our group clinging onto every word, he was brilliant, to do this job you must need balls of steel!! Thank you for such an amazing experience!

User

Edger was our tour guide, long hair and wore a black cloak, he walked us to a few places and told awesome stories, then went down into the vaults very scary , in each vault told a story about the room , as he was telling a story in the first room with 2 stories I felt a tug on my arm and turned around thinking I was in someone’s way and there was no one there, as we went in the next room he started talking about a little boy that would grab your arms sometimes wanting to play oh my gosh I think it was him!!

Been on the double dead tour twice now. Last night our tour guide was Grant, talented man who captured everyone's attention. Been on a few tours in Edinburgh now and personally, city of the dead tours are by far the best!
