We were staying in the 4 star Macdonald Inchyra, with its supposedly superb food, but on our second night we went to the Claremont as we know the food and service is far superior to what we’d had experienced at the Inchyra on our first night.



As always, the staff and food at the Claremont were absolutely EXCELLENT! Sadly, none of you will ever get a job at the Inchyra though as you are all too friendly and efficient and the kitchen staff produce food that is far too good. LOL



Thanks everyone at the Claremont. You could certainly teach the local 4 star hotel a thing or two about food and service!!!!

The musicians of the Antonine Ensemble (20 of us) needed to be fed and watered in limited 1 hour slot between rehearsal and concert in nearby Polmont Old Church. We pre-ordered from varied & extensive menu at The Claremont. Gregor did us proud, excellent service, delightful food served promptly. Top marks! A happy band, ready for a great concert...

Love the place, I am there most days of the week with my Aunt, food always delicious, and the service is first class.

Just been for lunch and can highly recommend the Balmoral burger. The venue is lovely, well decorated and very clean. Toilets were immaculate. Will definitely be visiting again.

Have visited several times before. Food, service and cleanliness always great. Today however you were exceptionally kind and caring. My daughter and I had lunch to celebrate her first day at school. I didn't feel particularly well. The lovely gentleman behind the bar very kindly made sure we were OK and helped with the doors. He even offered to follow me home safely.

Goodness me. Take a bow. I'm overwhelmed by your kindness.

Have had several great meals at the Claremont Inn! We recently came in with a large party and had top notch service. The food was excellent, and the portions were huge. The waiting staff were really attentive and friendly, and got the food and drinks to our table very quickly. I’ll definitely be returning to try more of the menu!

Had lunch here today with friends......booked my favourite table for 1pm. Friends arrived early but table ready and had coffee&a drink until we arrived. Food and service excellent as always. Nothing is too much trouble for the lovely friendly staff. We sat right through lunch until 5pm when people were coming in for dinner but drinks topped up and quite happy to let us sit and enjoy our afternoon. We are a 5 minute walk away but a regular with various friends who all love it for the good food and great service. I'll be back soon....booked already. ÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹ

By far and away the best pub/restaurant in Polmont. The food is excellent and the staff go the extra mile to make you feel welcome!. Service is first class and a very family friendly atmosphere! Highly recommended!

Been out here with my friends a couple of times and always had excellent service. Last night we decided to have some dinner and we were not disappointed, it was amazing, the best cheesy garlic bread ever!! Thank you to the staff for looking after us...topping up the fire...Roxanne definitely deserves the award of Employee of the week for her excellent customer service skills. We will be back again soon. Thank you for an enjoyable evening, perfect end to a busy week.

Well done to Gregor Audra and all the brilliant staff for putting on a fantastic Hogmanay celebration! The entertainment was 1st class from highland dancers to the pipes and drums!! Not to forget the very talented John ( the barman) who’s singing got us all started!! Thank you all!

Just been for dinner my meal the chicken highlander was amazing my partners burger wasn't so great felt like bought in not homemade, one thing I can say is a big shout out to the young waitress (unfortunately don't have name badges) blonde girl hair In wee side buns black and white checked vans, her service was to perfection friendly polite and nothing was a hassle if this what she wants to do in life will defo go far a pleasure to have as a waitress defo give her 5 ÔŅĹ

Went for a birthday meal for my Mum this evening & was not impressed with the service, had to ask for Menu's after sitting for 10 minutes, was a long wait inbetween meals! Also has to ask twice for chips to be brought out that was supposed to be out with kids meals along with starters but didn't get the chips until we were having main meals! Also i came in earlier today with a cake for my Mum & specifically asked for it come out out at the end of the meal for a suprise but the cake wasn't brought out & then the waitress approached us as we were leaving & said infront of my Mum who had birthday balloons in her hand that we still had a cake there & asked if we wanted it! Overall was not happy with the service at all! Won't be back! Ruined my Mum's birthday meal!

My husband was in the Claremont tonight with my two sons 18 and 21 and a couple of their friends when the owner told the manager to tell them that they didn’t really want young guys in their beer garden as they had problems during the week with young guys(not my sons or their friends by the way) absolutely disgusting customer service and absolutely no way to run a business, so if you are under 25 you are not allowed in their beer garden!!! Funnily enough my friend told me that her and a bunch of friends were there last year and they were also asked to leave as they said they were too loud as they were laughing, they were just hard working mums on a night out trying to support a local business. Won’t be back!!

Just visited this place tonight again with my girlfriend. Service was OK to start with until it came to the mains being brought out (we both had starters). My girlfriend ordered the lasagne and had two mouthfuls out it until she realised it had mushrooms in it! (She hates mushrooms). She was not advised of this by the waitress and it was not advertised on the menu so did not even think to ask as a standard lasagne does not usually have mushrooms in it! (We both work or have experience of working in the hospitality industry). We called the waitress over and her response was "well majority of lasagnes have mushrooms in them", now im sorry but i've been to several italian restaurants and also a fair few normal restaurants and have never came across mushrooms in a lasagne before! The waitress offered her something else but by this point she was totally put off and didn't want anything else. It then came to paying the bill and, i don't think this is me being cheap or tight cause i am neither usually, but the meal was still on the bill and nothing was took off at all! Now with my experience in hospitality if someone had complained to me and didn't want anything else then I would have at least took drinks/a starter/the meal off the bill for the customer. Overall we both left the place very unhappy about the customer service we received and certainly won't be returning again!

If you are going to refuse someone because they are wearing a germany football top you should really do so straight away and not once they have orderd and paid shocking service one waitress in particular really needs to have a look at her attitude problem. Will definitely never be back afyer dealing with this at 8 months pregnant and being forced to leave and walk home again. Absolutly appauling

I won't be returning after my friends experienced rude behaviour from bar manager. A small group of local mums apparently not allowed to chat and laugh in their local of a Sunday afternoon? Something has went far wrong in the Claremont if that's the attitude of their staff. Very disappointing.

I don't go out often due to having young children but when I do, I like to visit the local pub. The last time I visited the Claremont, the owner was so nice, brought fresh glasses to our table and offered us advice and offers on different wines. Tonight though, the manager was so rude and told us he wasn't serving us anymore because we were too loud! I appreciate there were families in, eating but we were sat in the corner laughing, eating and drinking. No warning or request to be a bit quieter , just told we were no longer being served!!! Very disappointing, given we live locally and either us or friends would frequent occasionally but after today, we won't be back and we will tell others of our experience!
