Just a reminder to our clients that we are closed on Bank Holiday Monday 27th May but will be open as usual on Tuesday 28th. We hope you all have a lovely sunny weekend

Our resident practice pup “Toastie” enjoyed helping us decorate the waiting room this weekend and managed to keep her fur paint-free. Look at her toothy grin! Such a clever girl.

We have been giving our lovely waiting room a make over this weekend! 🐈 🐕 🐁 🐇 🦜

This is Rosie. She came into the surgery a few weeks ago with a nasty abcess on her head. She is healing nicely and is looking for her forever home. She is a sweet old lady who just wants a quiet home with a warm bed and a bit of fuss from time to time. Have you got space in your home (and your heart) for Rosie?

EDIT: Bessie has found a home and a lap yo call her own 😊😊 we’re so happy for her, but shall miss her dearly here at the surgery.
Bessie needs a home! 🏠 She’s a beautiful, affectionate older cat ( approx 16). She’s chatty and likes to follow you around whilst you potter then eat, sleep, purr, repeat! She would be great company for someone who spends a lot of time on their own or wants a calmer, lower energy pet. She loves cardboard boxes and greeting you in the morning. She...’s an absolutely gorgeous girl and is currently living with us at Clarendon Street Vets but would love a lap or home to call her own.
Please call us on 01223 359021 and ask for Anna for any more information.

Our rescue hogs are off to their foster homes this week to over winter before their release in the spring 🙂 Horatio was a tiny baby that was found trapped in a basement drain and Holly we think was clipped by a bike as she came in with a few injuries and broken quills. An abundance of TLC and yummy worms has got them fighting fit and they’re on the road to recovery ......🦔

This little bearded dragon was found and brought into us yesterday and we are trying to reunite it with its owner. It was found on Herschel Road at around 4 o’clock, outside the faculty of English near to Selwyn College.
We have taken him to Cambridge Veterinary Group on Cherry Hinton Road as they are much better equipped to care for exotics than we are here at Clarendon Street so if you have any information, please contact them on 01223 249331.

Tyrion is missing. He's normally a house cat so his owners are very worried about him. He went missing from Arbury Court on Sat 7th July. He is neutered but does not have a collar or microchip. If you see or hear anything of him please get in touch with us on 01223 359021 so we can put you in contact with his owners.

Here are some steps to keeping your pet safe in this heatwave. Even though we might love being out in the sunshine, please take the time to think about our furry loved ones to avoid the risk of heatstroke.

"George" the cat is missing and his owners are very worried about him. He's approx 13 years old, black with white paws and went missing in the CB4 1JJ area on Monday morning. Please contact us on 01223 359021 if you see or hear anything from George. He is neutered but not microchipped. With thanks, The Clarendon Vet Team.

Dear friends, This time of year you may find lots of feathered baby birds on the floor or in your hedges. If they are not injured or in immediate danger then the kindest thing you can do is leave them where they are. The parent birds will be feeding them on the ground and moving them will cause a lot of distress to both the parents and the fledgling. Wild birds do not cope well with being handled or being moved into captivity and sometimes the stress alone is enough to kill them. Please leave them where they are and let nature take it's course. You can help care for your local birds by providing them with lots of fresh water to cool down in this gorgeous weather; they will appreciate that the most.
