Clarkston Post Office (Permanently Closed)

I specifically waited in today to recieve a parcel I had paid extra to have delivered today. I walked through from my living room to find a note on the floor saying they had missed me and that my parcel would be ready to collect the next working day. There was absolutely no attempt at knocking and I am very annoyed that this has happened as I have had good experiences with royal mail in the past, very disapointing.
